Salmon was a decent size with about two tablespoons of potato salad . 22.00.other entrees similar in size around 28 up.service great this time. Atmosphere... More

Hugh Acheson's creative menus never disappoint! My husband and I enjoyed a delicious anniversary dinner, the only problem being deciding what to order! The crudités platter with its variety of meats and grainy mustards prepared in house was the best we'd ever had. Entrees and desserts were equally wonderful. The knowledgeable, professional wait staff add to the fine dining experience.

Expensive but a nice experience. Classy place, sat outside and enjoyed a fine meal. Wasn't cheap. Part of Hugh Atchesons' growing empire. Special occasion place.

Built in 1913, this old house offers a wonderful setting for a well presented meal. My wife and I had their prix fixed menu. She had the best duck wing appetizer. I enjoyed the mussels with house made sausage. Delicious. My steak was tender with mashed potatoes seasoned just right and to my delight the best okra I've ever eaten.... More

Meal was absolutely delicious. We shared three appetizers and three desserts. Each of us had our own entrees. The pimento cheese with bacon jam is fabulous, the peach pie and the lemon chess pie were superb. Our waiter was quite friendly albeit a tad forgetful. We loved sitting on the veranda and watching Saturday evening Athens life pass by.

We had dinner here one evening as we were passing through Athens. It was a throughly enjoyable meal. We started with Bruleed Figs- an unusual starter with grilled figs, whipped goat cheese, bacon, enoki mushrooms, fennel. It was light and delicious- the creamy goat cheese complemented the figs perfectly. For an entree we had Frogmore Stew- a classic low country... More

Sitting on the wide verandah, under ceiling fans, in the summer twilight--how much more southern can you get! We enjoyed squash fritters, watermelon sale and Tuesday Raman bowl ( my daughter), roasted peach salad and scallops (me), shared classic creme brûlée for dessert. The service was friendly and professional. A nice special occasion restaurant, for sure.

First, there was a mosquito in the dining room, and it bit me twice. But the food was really good, especially the seafood stew and the flounder. Excellent wine pairing as well. I recommend it highly even though it did not blow me away.

We went as a group of 10 people and their food and service was excellent. I had the Frogmore Stew and it was outstanding! Bob our waiter has been with them for 16 years. He provided excellent service and suggestions.
