Sitting on the wide verandah, under ceiling fans, in the summer twilight--how much more southern can you get! We enjoyed squash fritters, watermelon sale and Tuesday Raman bowl ( my daughter), roasted peach salad and scallops (me), shared classic creme brûlée for dessert. The service was friendly and professional. A nice special occasion restaurant, for sure.

First, there was a mosquito in the dining room, and it bit me twice. But the food was really good, especially the seafood stew and the flounder. Excellent wine pairing as well. I recommend it highly even though it did not blow me away.

We went as a group of 10 people and their food and service was excellent. I had the Frogmore Stew and it was outstanding! Bob our waiter has been with them for 16 years. He provided excellent service and suggestions.

Enjoyed visiting Hugh Acheson'a acclaimed outpost in the Athens. The setting, in a home, is charming. We went for brunch. The chicken and biscuit with pimento cheese is excellent. So is the shrimp and grits.

Fantastic local and non-local food. Local food included interesting peach dishes and non-local included braised octopus - both of which were delicious. Local beers from Athens are also available and highly recommended. Service was great and I highly recommend eating on their huge porch (which has ceiling fans, if you're worried about the weather or mosquitos)

My husband and I were in town and celebrated my birthday dinner here. First, cocktails are amazing!! Bartender was very kind. We snacked on the boiled peanut hummus. I'm smitten! Dinner was great. I had the gnocchi and the flavor exploded in my mouth. You can tell the pasta is homemade and seasoned with care. My husband had the well... More

Had dinner here about two weeks ago and was blown away. The best spot in Athens so far for romantic dinner. Can not give a review for dinner as it changes weekly, but we did have one supper that was not on the 3 course menu. It's the Sunday supper fried chicken which was unbelievably good. It also changes slightly... More

We enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day dinner here. The food was absolutely yummy. We dined outside on the porch on a warm evening. Items ordered were a plate of assorted oysters, the pork loin, the special which was fried chicken thighs with gravy, and the frog stew. The couple we went with said the menu changes regularly (maybe daily). The... More

Hugh Acheson's reputation is well deserved and re-inforced by the experience of dinner at 5&10, a gem of a restaurant that offers an excellent menu, wine list and service in a casual, comfortable and attractive surrounding. In addition to the quality and freshness of the ingredients, 5&10 ensures that its dishes are superbly presented. A house greens salad with apples... More
