The food was served hot, fresh, and tasty! Thank you for catering my event! There was some concern with the timeliness of the delivery but once it came the guest forgot all about the time delay.

We had our dog with us so we needed a restraraunt with outside tables. We were very pleased with the taste and price. The apmosphere is very casual and friendly. The squash caserole was outstanding.
My wife and son ate here on a college visit. The food didn’t look very good and I told them let’s leave. They out voted me so we tried it. The food wasn’t very tasty, was dry and cold. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
BBQ was dry, had little flavor despite smelling smokey. Overpriced for the quality of the BBQ. I will not visit this place again. If i want decent BBQ in Athens,I'll go to COok-out
The owner uses family recipes to serve some of the best bbq and sides you will ever taste. And save room for banana pudding for dessert!
I know how to grill and smoke meats and so does my family. I went to lunch here the Tuesday before Thanksgiving with some fellow PhD students from UGA. I ordered the rib plate with baked beans and mac n cheese. I got sauce for...the ribs on the side. Because I was in a good mood, I also ordered the smoked sausage. Everything was delicious! The ribs were so moist and tender and the beans were sweet with a slight kick to it. I would recommend this place and yes, I would return. There's no tofu or kale on the menu, by the way. For those who have written reviews about this place and left negative ratings, I wish them the best in life. This place is no frills, old school bbq. Go hungry!More
Despite the smell we ordered anyway. We had checked reviews and this was the #1 ranked bbq place in Athens! We had the ribs, chicken and pulled pork. All tasted like they had been sitting around for a long time, very old and blah. Small...portions. Mac and cheese and beans were average. Not what we expected from the #1 bbq joint in Athens. Guess we will try #2 the next time we are in town because we won’t be coming back here. Gross.More
I was reluctant to go into this place when I stood on the street and looked at it. You will find a very casual place with seating inside and out. The food our group ordered for lunch was so full of flavor! Their slaw is...a tasteful surprise. The mac and cheese offers a bit of spicy heat. Other sides were great too. Pulled chicken was not dried out while the pork was full of flavor. This was one of the best BBQs I have had in a long time. Glad I went in.More
A friend and I stopped at Dawg Gone Good BBQ after a Georgia football game, and we will not eat here again. We both ordered pork sandwiches, she ordered a side of green beans, and I had a side of Cole slaw. The green beans...tasted like they came out of an institutional size can and were “doctored” up a bit. My pulled pork sandwich was mostly the crusty outside which included a lot of fat. They advertised pink lemonade, and I asked first if it was “home-made” and the cashier did not understand my question. I then asked if they made it themselves, and I was told yes. After I got my lemonade, I realized it was made from a powder. A few tables inside, picnic tables outside. They do not serve beer, but we walked across the street to the Creature Comforts Brewing Company for a brew after eating.More
Can’t get any better!! Flavor flavor flavor!! Great ribs! Sides all grandmas best chocked full of spices that all come together with the bar b que sauces for a perfect Southern Bar b que taste lasting after it’s all gone. Cobblers are perfect—crust, not too...sweet fruit and an abundance of both!! Don’t miss this place. The staff and owner are super friendly and accommodating.More
