I ask google for a seafood place and this place was close by. I ordered the shrimp etouffe, I believe. It was alright, but kind of bland. Needed some more spices, not necessarily hot spices, just more spices. The waiter though, a young guy, was...really great. So I gave him a good tip.More

Here with my wife, daughter in law and grandson. Started with a real nice bottle of La Vis Pinot Grigio. Table had popcorn crawfish app, fried green tomatoes, mussels, braised shortribs and enchilada. Everyone was very pleased. Great service from Ashley W.

The new building is beautiful! The colors and decor inside is beautiful, warm, and inviting. I ordered the braised short ribs and mashed potatoes, which was delicious! The leftovers re-heated well the next day. I had them for breakfast this morning :) The full bar...is very nice! I'll be back soon for a drink and an appetizer of shrimp and grits.More

1st time back to George’s since they moved to their new location. Nice brand new facilities. Great service as usual, great menu as it has stayed the same. But, ...... it now is just a big restaurant. The ambiance, the coziness, the great patio (...outside seating is now right there along the parking, cars, exhaust,etc.)...... all has changed. Really liked the old location, not so much now. Probably be back for the eats, but maybe not as often.More

We had a long weekend and stopped in our on way home. Lady answering phone super nice. Our waitress Lindsay was awesome. She kept our water filled and was very attentive without being annoying. She packed our 3 desserts to go very well. Each dessert...was delicious. I included a picture of the key lime pie. We really enjoyed the beef short ribs and the gumbo soup. Everything was delicious including the biscuits before the meal. I would give it a 5 stars but for this annoying server who was dominating the conversation at the other table. He was so loud and overbearing to be distracting. I had 13 year old twins with me. One looked at me and asked why he was so loud? I shouldn't have to eat my meal Hearing your opinion about wine like you are in my lap.More

Since reopening we’ve been back twice. Except for limited seating inside all is back to the usual outstanding service and meals. Sat out on the patio for supper. Along with several others at tables placed strategically for the “virus protocol”, it was great to be...back. Can’t beat the mussels or any of the entrees.More

We really enjoyed the laid back dining and the delicious food. The Porch Swing cocktail arrived in a pint glass and was cool and delicious without being sweet or heavy. The wedge salad was crispy with bacon and creamy with bleu cheese dressing. The gumbo...was spicy Cajun style. The seared scallops were not glazed, and they were not overcooked, so their delicate flavor was enhanced, not overwhelmed, by the creamy polenta they served on. Fried chicken and tenderloin steak were generous portions. Key lime pie was delectable. No heavy gravy or sauce to bury the delicious flavor of each dish! Service was attentive. We were delighted with this dining experience.More

Read the reviews and we decided to give it a shot today. My wife had the pork and grits and it was truly outstanding. I had the cakes and eggs (crabcakes egg Benedict). The poached eggs were well prepared. The crabcake was flavorful. I had...almost no hollandaise sauce with a very dry dish overall. I saw some that came out with significantly more sauce and it looked better. The biscuits were also pretty dry and served with margarine (good food should have the option for butter!). We will try it again sometime but it was a 50/50 meal today.More

Atmosphere great! I don't care to on the long bench by the window; prefer a table. The chairs just sit better. Roasted Oysters on Tuesday are fabulous. We also enjoy the eggplant with crawfish etoufee is wonderful! My husband enjoys a good steak there.

I just called @706-548-3359 and the nice person on the line said Yes, but they can only hold them for fifteen minutes. (He thought I was local) I asked if tourists knew what day they would be in town could we get a... More
