Service is slow and scattered. Our waitress was asked for a spoon four times we never got one. I stirred my coffee with the straw that my son got himself from the bar. Creamer was spoiled and 20 minutes later we still hadn’t gotten a...new cup. Ordered soda instead, had to ask for a manger (who hid behind the bar rather then show his face) before we finally got drinks. Food is decent when it finally arrives but there are too many options in Athens to deal with the mess.More

Hostess was horrible. There were 3 in our party and instead of seating 2 of us and allowing my daughter to join 5 minutes later after she parked the car, we had to wait. And because there were only 3 of us, we had no...choice but to sit at a table at the bar. Food was good. Service was horrible. Bartender wasn't concerned with our table and messed up order, forgot stuff, again and again. Salad dressing would have been good if it hadn't been so ridiculously watered down. Basically I didn't get the impression the staff cared at all about the dinner customers. They were more concerned with the drinking college kids.More

Have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when friends wanted to go. We all walked out perfectly happy with our meal. Sandwiches and crepes were inventive and done well. Services was fine. Had a glitch where our beverage order never was quite right, but...wasn’t a huge deal. We went for lunch. At night, it is popular with the college crowd as they have a full bar. Keep that in mind if you decide to go during Fall or Spring semesters.More

Had a really great meal with a colleague while in town on business. The service was friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! I tried the Greek savory crepe and it was absolutely delicious. Very light and full of flavor. So I tried the Apple...pie crepe for dessert. Absolutely delicious!! Would eat here again and again!More

Pauley's is one of my favorite places in Athens. Conveniently located downtown, good parking, great food and fun UGA atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We stopped in for a light lunch at Pauly’s. The decor is stark and the walls lined with certificates of merit for people who have samples some large number of beers. Our salads were OK. The dressing was “home made” but tasted rather institutional. For...sure the primary reason for existence is for beer and they had 10’s of choices. The wine we had was average at best. Too bad we are not beer drinkers. We felt certain this was a great drinking spot for UGA students (the campus is just a short walk away) and if you are looking for beer, this is a good choice. However, if you are looking for food and wine there are better choices.More

The crepes were huge - my husband and I could’ve split one, especially since we wanted to get a dessert crepe.

If you love great beer and great food served by friendly staff .... this is the place!!! My husband and I ordered a salad, a savory crepe and the brie & apple sandwich. All of it was AMAZING!! Very fresh ingredients and all sauces are...handmade on site. The downtown location is also convenient for shopping and site seeing as well as for game day!! It’s perfect if you’re looking for dinner with the kids ... or a night with your friends!! Look forward to going back soon!!More

Went w/ 21 yr old daughter. First visit for both. Beyond loud group at front part of bar upon coming in but we thought they’d calm down so we stayed. finally changed tables bc they were so loud and being over-served by seemingly oblivious bartenders....Positive: Berry Dessert crepe was tasty but savory meatball one not so much. Crepes a bit thick for my taste. Cocktails well really good. Server was on point and I noticed all the food seemed to come out timely. Negative: We complained to our female server, who was also unnerved by loud group at bar, as were other servers. We were told mgr was “upstairs working. “ (She also mentioned 2 parties previously left before ordering due to the obnoxious group.) Upon leaving we spoke to mgr who was now behind bar so no way he didn’t see/hear group. Had my dtr not wanted to try crepes we would’ve left before ordering. Too many other places to eat lunch. Also informed him of less than relaxed lunch, due to adults being over served- and acting as though they were only people present. Mgr apologized but that was about it. Yes I’m aware it’s half bar/eatery in a college town. However not everyone eating in Athens is 20-30 years old.....it’s one room with no separation, so diners are exposed to whatever is going on at bar. At 3:45 in afternoon the atmosphere should be different than 11 at night....further the bartenders didn’t seem to recognize when people need to be cut off. I will not be back nor recommend.More

Wanted a bloody Mary and order 2 to go before NFL playoff games on Sunday. Bartender or bar manager made me wait for 5 minutes while he flirted with waitresses that had no tables 2 service. He was arrogant and acted like I was a...waste of his time. This place is nothing but a bunch of hungover help that doesn't want 2 work on a Sunday during brunch or early afternoon on Sundays. The bartenders and waitresses only sit at end of bar and socialize and could care less about customers. This place is a joke, and shouldn't open until 4 or 5 in after noon so the help can talk 2 each other about their parties from night b4. Place is a joke, not 2 mention crepes were not good. Party place 4 kids, not a good place 4 anyone over 30.More

Having had both dinner and dessert at Pauley's, I'd say stick with the dessert. The dinner crepes were just okay. There are so many better choices to eat in Athens. The dessert crepes were good if you're a crepe person. Good drinks and bar scene...though for meeting up with old friends!More

Have wanted to try Pauley’s for a while and finally had a chance on a Sunday just before noon. Waked in and was told by the hostess that a party of 3 would have to wait, despite there being at least 3 open tables that...could accommodate 6 guests. Hostess informed me their policy was not to seat small groups at these tables. After about 10 minutes there were about 4 small parties all being told to wait while the large tables remained empty since no large groups came in. I’m all for efficient seating policies, but at some point it’s just good customer service to seat a couple of small parties at the large tables when the wait starts backing up. We eventually got a seat but the whole experience was tainted by poor management. Food was good but worth standing and waiting while there are empty tables. Most likely will not go back.More

Fortunately for us, South Kitchen + Bar was out of the dessert we wanted so we stumbled upon Pauleys. My daughter is a senior and we were touring UGA the next day so this was a treat. The place was crowded, but just enough to...be fun. There were lots of folks at the bar, we got a table, I ordered a glass of wine and we ordered 2 crepes—Nutella and Strawberry and Banana Foster. They were both delicious. Our waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere was fun. It was a great ending to great evening.More
