Lionfish Louie the Beach club are currently closed. We came hoping to get a bite to eat and relax on the beach. Everything is closed including the gate. We were able to sneak on the beach and it was really awesome! The beach is still...gorgeous it’s just desertedMore

Very basic outdoor eatery on an amazing beach called the Beach Club. I don't like fish but decided we needed to try the Lionfish. It is amazing, really good. Unique fish to try and scenery is amazing.

A must beach to visit while in Roatan. One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. I had the lionfish at the restaurant and it was absolutely fabulous. If you have never tried it, it is a must. Most fantastic place. Totally loved...it. You have to go. You will not be disappointed.More

We came here on the recommendation of our tour guide to try the Lionfish. The restaurant is located in a beach club down a steep hill off the main road and the location is really beautiful. Deep beach, white sand, lots of beach chairs, etc....It was high season but there were very few people at the beach club. There’s a dock that’s in some need of repair but overall there were some beautiful views! We walked a little way down the beach to the restaurant and were the only guests there. The staff acknowledged us when we walked in but it still took about 5 minutes for someone to come over with menus. One busied herself straightening all the chairs at other tables rather than just come over and talk to us...we considered leaving but we had made the drive just for this meal so we stayed. There seemed to be some discord among the staff. Lots of angry talk, they were not super happy to be there. Our meal took at least 30 minutes to come out (we joked among us that they must have been out catching it all). We ordered the Treasure Chest ($40) which came with deep fried everything and a lobster tail. The lobster was super dry and tough and we didn’t eat much of it. It’s hard to mess up deep fried shrimp or calamari - those were good. The fries were cold and the conch balls over fried. The highlight of the meal was the Lionfish...also fried but very tasty. If you go to this restaurant best to stay away from the lobster or conch, and stick to the Lionfish Fish and Chips. We should have also ordered the grilled Lionfish...for a less deep fried experience. The thing that sealed the deal for us on the place was this: the flies were. out. of. control. When I say there were 20 buzzing around our food I do not exaggerate. It made it impossible to enjoy one bite without waving our hands constantly. I thought maybe since we were the only ones in the place we attracted them all to us, but it was easy to see 10 more flies just sitting on all the adjacent tables. I get that flies are tough to avoid and we had some at other restaurants too...but not like this. There must be something to be done about this...a fly trap? Fire? Candles? I don’t know, but this was next level. By the time the food came we were starving so we ate as fast as we could and got out of there.More

Came here as part of a Royal Caribbean cruise two years in a row. Gorgeous venue, pristine beach. If riding horses in the surf, ask for Roni as your guide. General is a beautiful horse. Great food at Louie's. Ask for Jack - he's the...owner and a great guy. Wonderful excursion. We may go back again this year.More

This place is located in the beautiful Beach Club area, the food is really great, and very nice staff. My husband had the lionfish fillets and said they were delicious ( a slight form of revenge on this invasive species)!More

This is everything you would expect of a beachside bar and grill. The proprietor, Jack, a former restaurant designer and builder from South Carolina, is proud to offer the freshest of seafood and friendly service. Enjoy a tropical cocktail or an ice-cold beer inside or...out on the beach. And be sure to order the lionfish. Not only is it delicious, but you will be doing the ocean a favor. The lionfish is an aggressive, invasive predatory species that is eating up all the reef fish, so you will be helping to keep their population under control.More

Follow the unmarked rough gravel road down to the beach (hint: keep to the right @ the fork otherwise you end up on a worse dirt road that dead ends into a residence) and you will find a white sand beach with turquoise clear water...oasis. Lionfish Louie’s restaurant, beach horseback rides to a mini island, jet skis, kayaks, beach massages, hair braiding, souvenir shopping, playground equipment all in one spot. We enjoyed our frozen drinks, ate a good lunch and then hung out on the picnic tables in the ocean. This location has all the amenities you would find at a resort for a “beach day” without having to buy a day pass. Also, plenty of bathrooms and outdoor showers to rinse off are a plus!More
