If you are looking for a good, clean place to stay in Roatan with Beach access, Fosters is the way to go. You will not regret it. It sits on the edge of west bay and you can walk to local bars and restaurants.

We had heard about this great 2 lobster tail dinner for $16 at Foster's so decided to check it out. It was only on certain days but we were leaving and decided to go ahead and eat there since we'd heard good things. The 2 Lobster dinner was around $23 ... it was good but the tails were very small.... More

Fosters was recommended to us and we were quite pleased the first night. Good food, good service (John the waiter) and good music. The second night the food was terrible, not what we ordered, the wait staff was impossible. To make it worse, the cheated us by double billing a service charge and had to have the bill redone. Eat... Foster's has a great location; but could do better. Stray cats, flies, and slow service will turn off tourists every time. They need to hire more staff, and serve cold beverages immediately. I recommend some big, powerful fans so that the flies cannot land! The food is OK, but nothing really stands out. It is standard bar fare.

The food was good, we had fish & chips & fish tacos, one beer & 5 cokes at lunchtime. Food should have come to about $95. They gave me a bill for $144. Trying to tell me the rest is tax & it is so hard to figure out because food and alcohol are taxed differently. By my math, the... More

We ate here twice on our vacation in 2014. We ate here only once on our recent vacation in July 2016. The main reason was price point and the fact that they were the only resort restaurant to charge a processing fee for using a credit card. Food was great. Service was great. Happy hour margaritas were served in champagne... More

Foster's Restaurant is one of my favorite places to eat on West Bay Beach. Any negative review must be from high maintenance individuals, because the owners, managers, bartenders and servers pamper you at all times. The food is deliciously amazing and they serve a wide variety. Visit Albert (the bartender) and he will treat you like royalty!

A tightly chopped mix of conch, fish and shrimp, with tomatoes, onions, jalapeños and cilantro. It was good enough, we went back 3 more times in one week! The lobster tail special $16 for two tails, two sides is held twice weekly-yes, we hit that twice as well. Happy hour is generous and the staff is friendly and attentive. Do... More

Our recent visit to Foster's was a huge disappointment. My son and his wife had eaten there two previous visits to Roatan and took me their as a special treat. I'm not sure how the lobster was prepared, but we couldn't even eat it because of the mushy texture and bad taste. The waiter did later bring us some grilled... More

Foster's is hard to beat. You can hire a tour on the glass bottom boat, you can eat at either of two restaurants and you can swim in best beach on the Caribbean Sea. The Bloody Mary's have a touch of chile cabro which makes it the wildest drink on the menu.
