Don't get me wrong, it's still a good restaurant. However, it's not as good as it was. I've been coming here for several years now and it's gone down somewhat. New chef? Cheaper ingredients? Not sure, but it's no longer my must-go restaurant in Xela...anymore.More

Dear customer thanks for your review. We are really sorry that you didn’t have a nice experience in our restaurant last time. We have the same chef and use the same ingredients. May be the main chef was absent during your visit. Hope you consider...More

Delicious samosas with tamarind chutney to start in this pretty atmosphere. Shared a vegetarian meal of saag paneer that came with rice, lentils and potatoes. Naan was pillowy, buttery and so good!

Plenty of selections. I had a chicken and a lamb entrée. Not too spicy. Pleasant atmosphere. Okay service. Prices not cheap but reasonable.

Delicious - Fair prices (not cheap, but good overall value) - friendly staff. There are many vegetarian choices, too.

Had a great meal here! Service was great and the food was delicious. Not as spicy hot as I like it but Guatemalans don’t like spicy. Just get chili sauce on the side!

Lovely restaurant! We had the samosas, chicken tikka masala and saag paneer plates - all were delicious and really generous portions! Would definitely recommend!

It's great to take a break from typical Guatemalan meals every once in a while, Sabor de la India offers a wonderful menu with lots of options. Love everything they serve, but the cardamom ice cream is probably my favourite!

If one is craving some hard to find Indian food in Guatemala this is the place. A wide variety of Indian selections along with an good selection of breads. The waiter did a great job considering he alone was servicing the several occupied tables. I...would highly recommend this restaurant for a unique meal in Xela.More

On the more expensive end for food in Guate but definitely worth the visit. Great food and plenty of vegetarian options.

Sabor de la India has a lovely diverse menu of Indian food. Most of the food was very authentic (exception: pratha) and delicious! Also had excellent lassis! The price is a little higher than the average restaurant around town but overall excellent experience (2x).

Very tasty variety of dishes. Particularly good for vegetarians with chickpeas, potatoes and lentils. Rice is very average though, feels like a boil in the bag style rather than authentic Indian rice.

First time ever trying Indian food and it was the best place to try it; had some Lamb w Curry and a mixture of new things I’ve never tried, even the Naan was awesome. The green tea with spices is supreme, too!

Sometimes I go there just for the chai. One time I went there and the place was packed with very very noisy obnoxious gringos. I have been there 4-5 times and that was the only negative experience. That said the food I've had there is...very good, just as good as the better Indian restaurants I have frequented in Seattle. The Saag Paneer. is very tasty. Yum! I think I will go there for dinner tonight.More
