One enters the restaurant through the restaurant's private playground. the tall slides are exciting for older children and teens, but a little scary for younger children. The restaurant offers a large variety of typical Guatemalan foods. Breakfast is offered throughout the day. I began with the houses "Special Soup." I did not enjoy. It was a bowl of grease with... Had breakfast here with my wife and a friend on 19 Feb 2015. Located right on the city square. Very good service in a beautifully decorated open dining room. Bright and sunny. Breakfast menu is heavy on egg dishes. Big screen TV mounted on the dining room wall played cartoons the entire time we were there. I liked that but... More

You can find typical guatemalan food and some american foo here, whatever you choose to eat will taste great, if you don't see it in the menu ask if they can make it for you, chances are they will. In Xela they make some dishes slightly different than the rest of the country so if you have a favorite food... More

OK I probably didn't spell the name of the soup right but of all different items the 8 of us ordered, the soup was the best. Several had breakfast items for dinner which were fine for tired travelers. Don't order the oatmeal...it is sort of a warm sweet milk soup. Don't try to order a grilled cheese sandwich...the waiter brought... More

We went there sound noon. The place was bursting with patrons. The music was very loud. The toilet could welcome more stars and a little more attention to cleanliness.

I like the downtown location of this restaurant. The interior of the building is very elegant and makes this budget restaurant feel like a 5-star place. The menu quite large with something for every taste. The service is consistently good.

Have eaten here twice, great service. I only see local Guatemalan families here. It appears to be a middle-class restaurant chain with local food but nothing special.

On March 29, 2013, I had an afternoon lunch at Albamar near the Parque Central. I went with a friend and her four-year-old son. I ordered a nice chef salad. My friend and her son ordered baked chicken plates. The total bill, including a tip was Q140. Albamar is not as trendy as other locations around the Parque Central, but... More

Certain nights of the week they have a live Marimba band. The waiters are first class and the menu is quite extensive and very well priced. Quite a wonderful surprise! I had both dinner and breakfast there. Both meals were wonderful.

I have been enjoying this nice cafe style restaurant for over 5 years. It is in a great location, the staff is very attentive, and the menu has some great Guatemala fare. I have always felt the kitchen is clean and safe for tourists. My favorite is the large soup bowl.
