About
Experience traditional Japanese dining in a beautiful, authentic Japanese restaurant located inside the historic Casa Cakchiquel in Panajachel Guatemala. Restaurante Hana offers the rich traditions of Japanese home cooking with Chef Mihoko Azumi. Like we do in Japan, we cook with the seasons, and savor the peak flavor of ingredients. We adhere to the fundamentals of Japanese cooking: respecting the ingredients and their natural flavors, cooking in the moment, and not doing too much. Restaurante Hana presents a wide range of typical Japanese dishes including sushi, sashimi, tempura and all manner of lesser known dishes from the East, both large full dishes and smaller plates for sharing as well

Sushi in a serene setting. Tables are outdoors so I wished I had my jacket. The prices were higher than many places but below US standards. Warm sake was tepid and very mild flavored.

Honestly it's pretty bad and not fresh. The meat is hard and tough and tasteless. I can't speak for the other dishes but this sashimi one left me feeling ripped off. I didn't eat much of it. It wasn't worth the time and money...

Been coming here for years and now that they have considerably enlarged the menu, there’s enough choice to come here every day of my five days in Pana each time I’m there. Love the peaceful garden ad the food is just excellent.

This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The food is delicious and always made fresh (so don't expect to go there for a quick meal). A nice little oasis.

Wonderful service, very kind owners and wait staff. The origami swans for the chopsticks are one-of-a-kind and a cute take-home souvenir

We really love sushi and tried a couple places around the lake, but this was definitely the best place and they had great prices! I would definitely recommend it if you need that sushi fix!

A fine selection of Japanese food. I tried several different meals while in country. All very good. Especially enjoyed their Udan noodle dishes
