Who goes to Panajchel and has sushi? Our group of 13 did. We came in around 6:30pm on a random Tuesday and they were able to accommodate us. We split an order of gyoza and a sushi roll between 6 of us. The gyoza were...quite good and the sushi was fine. I think they're not using the right kind of rice? I had the fried chicken ramen, which tasted more like a fried chicken soba-udon baby. It was fine, but hit the spot. We all wanted some warm soup. Staff were nice and efficient. The drinks were all good.More

We had gyozas, a miso soup, a nigiri platter and tempura. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly good either. It felt like there was a lack of passion in the kitchen - just the bare minimum to deliver an acceptable meal. We were expecting...more based on the reviews.More

Not just Sushi - we enjoyed Udon with Shrimp Tempura and Ramen with fried chicken. Udon noodles tasted home made and tempura reminded me of my visit to Kyoto. Shrimp were juicy and jumbo. Broth was excellent. Totally surprised me to get such an authentic...udon. My Asian significant other said the Ramen was outstanding- she also thought her Ramen noodles home made. Great service, clean, comfortable and good value. Highly recommend.More

The food was so yummy! I got the fried chicken ramen and my boyfriend got the katsu don. We met the owner and she was so kind and explained to us the stuff on the menu. I would definitely recommend if you are in town...and want to try different food.More

The restaurant looks nice and clean. However, the customer treatment by the (American) owner is not acceptable. We will never go back there again.

Hana was a surprise find while walking down Santander. Traditional noren in the front lead you to a space simply decorated with tables in two different rooms. The food is as authentic as possible while catering to local tastes. Service was friendly and prompt. I...would return to try many of the other dishes on the menu that I didn't have the first visit.More

This restaurant is now located right on the main street in Pana and has lovely decor and outdoor seating. They have begun offering Chinese food as well as their usual Japanese fare. We enjoyed deep fried crab rangoon as an appetizer. We then feasted on...two-for-one sushi (Thursdays). We shared California rolls and Tempura Shrimp rolls. The sushi is decent but of course not perfect as fresh ingredients are very hard to find in this remote location in Guatemala. But it does satisfy a craving, that is for certain! I will go back to try more menu items another time. The new Chinese menu looks delish!More

My husband and I went here for Valentine’s Day dinner because of the great reviews. I honestly can not describe how inedible the food was. To start we had sashimi and gyozas. The sashimi was 100% straight from a freezer and so disgusting they deducted...it from our bill. The gyozas were ok, but were cold in the middle, which proves that they were not made fresh. We both had sushi as our main courses and couldn’t really eat too much of it after what we discovered from the started. The sushi was basically a mountain of rice, unprofessionally rolled, filled with fish that was not fresh. If you have ever been to japan or are in any way a fan of sushi I recommend you avoid this restaurant as it will not be like anything you have ever experienced. The service and drinks were ok, but the place was filled with tourists - so even the locals would not eat here!!More

My family loves Japanese food and Hana lived up to our hopes! The service is superb, the ambiance is calm and quiet, and the food is authentic. Prices are a little high owing to the cost of ordering fresh seafood, but it's worth it. Our...tempura was light and crispy, the gyoza were flavorful, and the ramen was delicious! Highly recommend. Something to note: if you are using a travel guide published before 2019, be aware that Hana has moved from its original location listed in the guide to a building right off the main road leading to the lake.More

We came here on a Thursday when they have a 2 for 1 special. We ordered a shrimp tempora roll, spicy tuna roll and the veggie gyoza. They shrimp tempora roll had so much rice that you could not taste any of the shrimp. We...ended up having to remove about 75% of the rice before eating the other pieces. The spicy tuna was just okay. The gyozas were so bland. I am not too sure if there are other sushi places in town but I do not think this place deserves the rating it currently has. With the 2x1 special the prices aren't bad but otherwise I could consider it over priced.More
