Great Views, Food Just Okay

This restaurant offers the absolute best view of Lake Atitlan. Have your camera ready for some spectacular photos. Now about the food....I've eaten here a few times, and my experiences varied greatly. If you come on a good day, the food is great and you'll be happy you stopped by. Other... read more

Great view, I will never eat there again. Food is terrible, staff is slow, slow, slow. No one appears to be in control. Hard to get s glass of water.

We were a party of three for breakfast. The waiter brought the bill: 195 Q. I gave him 200 and he came back with 5 Q change. Then I started adding it up in my head and realized it should not have been more than 150. I went back and asked to see the bill. He fidgeted and brought another... More

I don't even know where to begin. We made the mistake the moment we set foot here. It looks "nice" the menu LOOK "good" but the food!! It's just horrible. Not kidding I could swear they gave us someone else's leftovers :( the food was gross and cold. We were just looking for a nice place to eat with a... More

Came here for dinner one night but actually left before ordering anything. It was 7 o'clock at night and there was nobody else in the restaurant which should've been a good indication. When we got the menu I were shocked at how expensive it was. At least three times more than any other restaurant I've been out in Pana. Entrées... More

be sure and go at 6 pm for wonderful sunsets. The food was OK but I only ordered a sandwich which was tasty. The service was a little slow but not as bad as next door at the Catamaran.

Hermanos Dana and Paul and I had a late lunch at El Mirador after taking a boat tour on Lake Atitlan. We each ordered the black bass pan fried. It came with a bowl of vegetable soup. It was a good sized fish dinner for Q150. It was served with fries, rice, guacamole and cooked carrots. The bass was very... More

Slow, poor service. Hamburger patty was paper thin, and not good. It does have a nice view of the lake though.

We spent some time to decide in which place to eat - and chose El Atitlan (I thought it should be ok due to its name :))) Actually, it is quite difficult to find a nice place in Panajachel - all of them look like cheap touristic cafes with plastic tables and chairs. Even though we were not fascinated with... More

It took quite a while for the servers to bring out our drinks. We were a party of 15, but it seemed that they didn't have a very good system in place. More problematic was the fact that the waiter pointed the finger at me and said I was to blame because I was given the wrong dish. I ordered... More
