We had an excellent dinner here. The owner was running all over the place. At 10 quetzales (about $1.40 US) per, and 20 quetzales for a Barcardi and Coke, dinner was cheap and tasted great. And the atmosphere was awesome.

I've been to El Salvador a couple of times, during which I became addicted to pupusas. I decided to try Cheros and I was delighted to discover that what they serve is the absolute genuine article, together with the all-important accompaniments. Lovely, family-run business, who...are native Salvadorans. I plan to become a regular customer.More

Great food and great drinks! The service is good and always friendly. A fun place to go with friends with food that tastes great and won't break the bank.

Visited here every night of my stay in Panajachel! Usually for a beer early evening when it was busy and full of locals - great chance to chat and practice your Spanish! Everyone is very friendly and the owner is fantastic. Also came later on...my last night to try the pupusas and - wow! Instantly regretted that I hadn't been eating here every night! They are cooked fresh to order, totally delicious and lots of choice! I'm vegetarian so tried a spinach one and a carrot one - both totally delicious! There is a minimum order of 2, but they are only 10 GTQ each and 2 is already very filling and great value. Totally recommended!More

I've had great pupusas in El Salvador and Guatemala before, but these were truly the best I've ever had. Big, fresh and tasty, with a whole menu of fillings - and in a really friendly atmosphere. All the pupusas cost Q10 (£1) and two make...a big meal - you do the maths! Highly recommended.More

Many varieties of pupusas with cheese, meet, or just veggies. They are made fresh so you will need to wait will they are prepared. The wait is worth the time. Cheap eats that stay with you.

This place is fantastic. Large variety of pupusas for a great price, and man we they good! We each ordered 2 and are them, then ordered 3 more to share. We were so full we were about to pop but it was worth every single...bite! I wish I had cow stomachs so I could have kept eating lol. Can't recommend this place enough!More

We recently were in Panajachel for a workaway gig at Ixcacoa with Chocolate Bob and he took us to Cheros -- needless to say we went back a lot -- great food and great service
