The first time we went to Asha's for lunch, it was closed because we didn't know it opens until 3pm - but we persisted and WOW what a meal! We went 3 times - once just for some coffee and twice for dinner. The prices for normal meals there are very reasonable; even the special, which only cost about $15... More

I normally celebrate the entire month of October for my birthday. We traveled to Punta Gorda and Placencia. Punta Gorda is a little town, on the Caribbean but no beach. The people are friendly and helpful. We dined at Asha's Kitchen. Wow, this was one of the best meals on this trip. I had the coconut curry Shrimp which was... More

Culture is the reason we travel! A sojourn out of our norm. Words will not explain Asha's culture kitchen, it needs to be experienced. When the world wakes up to the health benefits of fresh never frozen they will follow Asha and the templet he has provided. Artistic meals made with love and passion from a man with plenty of... a. Good place to check out. I had garlic red snapper / veggies and my wife had lobster tail. Both were scummy (scrumptious + yummy). View on the water was great, breeze was cool and pleasant. Even though we were the only people in the place, service (once they bring the food) not so great by U.S. standards but may... More

Asha makes beautiful food fresh to order. He is best known for the "twisted lobster" - and for good reason - it's amazing!! But if you ask what you should try, they will recommend the lionfish first. It is deserving of the honor, but they suggest it because the lionfish are destroying the reefs, and by serving them they are... More

How the food was made 1% ingredients 99% love Asha is a warm and welcoming owner and chef of the restaurant, the food was by far the best I've had, the sea breeze made it even better ! To be honest, there is no way to describe the goodness of the experience. You really have to come here to experience... More

We enjoyed our dinner at Asha's because the food was very good, the location was amazing and the service was welcoming and attentive. Asha is an enthusiastic proprietor and goes the extra mile to ensure his guests are taken care of. We will definitely return on our next trip to PG!

I had the Twisted Lobster (chunks of lobster, basically) paired with rice and beans and garlic mashed potatoes. All were wonderful! The setting on the water made this meal incredible. It was a very clear night and the stars shone brilliantly. Worth a visit!

Asha's Culture Kitchen is one of our go-to places for dinner in PG. It's a beautiful location literally over the water! It has a big deck with plenty of outdoor seating as well as lots of indoor seating. They also have nice bathrooms that are kept clean. Sometimes they have live music of traditional Garifuna drumming! Overall, you can't beat... More

Fresh meals are cooked to order with sustainably caught seafood; fish are often caught by Asha (the owner/head chef) himself.
