Visited on our last Friday night in Placencia. Had delicious lion fish and hand cut french fries. Delicious! Owner Eugene is very personable.

Sidewalk bar that we found on trip advisor. It was also recommended to us by the locals. The owners are fantastic! They sit down and have a drink with you and get to know you. Very friendly and a relaxing afternoon. The bartender always seems to give you a little extra! Great place for the menfolk to stop while the... More

Went to the pickled parrot with my family and had a nice time. Had lunch and drinks. The philly cheese steak sandwich is really good, although it's not exactly what you would get in Philly. It had different meat, chunks. And you can't get cheese wiz in Belize. That being said it was very good. The owner, an expat from... More

My husband and I enjoyed talking with the owners Gene and his wife. The bartenders served great drinks and welcomed us with name introductions. We only ate bar food but the menu did have many other options. Be sure to throw a stick for both their dogs( one even is three legged). The atmosphere is beautifully done. They obviously have... Apart from being a fun bar we love when they do game nights and competitions. Lynn and Eugene are retired New Jersians and have made their retirement fun for everyone. Great light foods, too.

Discovered the Parrot last year when we visited Placencia. It was our first stop when we returned this year. The owners, Eugene & Lynn are warm and friendly. Kareem the bartender is still there. (Thank goodness!) Love his personality & smile One of our favorite spots. Not as crazy or loud as barefoot or tipsy tuna. And the palapas roof... More

The Pickled Parrot sits between the main street and the Placencia sidewalk near the pier end of town. It is fairly secluded which makes a hot day seem cooler. The open air bar area is all wood and the fans keep it nice and breezy for cooling. The bartender was very friendly and quick to serve me. I did not... More

Absolutely love the place. Great atmosphere, location and drinks. Eugene and Lynn the owners are there all the time to ensure everything is running smooth. Remo and Pedro tend the bar and pour stiff drinks with a smile and great lines of BS. Mia and Ziggy are the owners border collies and are always up for a game of fetch.... More
