We love wine and in Belize good wine is hard to find but look no further then here. It is is a cute place on the second floor of a stand alone building like a treehouse and we ordered a lovely bottle of wine to...share with friends along with a cheese plate. The cheese is local Cave Branch artisan cheese and was delicious and we got sausage too. She carries a nice selection of cheese and meat to snack on. Inside there is AC or you can sit outside and watch the coming and goings of the village. Check the board at the foot of the stairs for her hours.More

This is my last review of The Little Wine Bar since I haved moved away from Belize. The location, atmosphere and food and wine at this place are all superior and ensure a great time for all who stop in. It's an excellent place for...locals to meet visitors and vice versa. This Belizean Xanadu is a treasure and so is its owner/manager, Jana. If you are a local, you are nodding; if you are a visitor, please check this place out early during your stay because you will want to return before you leave Placencia.More

We loved this wine bar in the centre of Placencia. It has an interesting selection of wines - all available by the glass or bottle - an interesting and friendly owner and a great selection of board games and puzzles to keep everyone amused. A...lovely place to spend a warm evening. Very sorry we couldn’t return the corkscrew you lent us. The sea was rough, so the boat was over 40 minutes late, so Randy couldn’t pick us up and we had to jump straight into a taxi in order to catch our flight by the skin of our teeth. But if we ever come back, we’ll definitely call in and return it.More

This place was a wonderful find. Jana is a super host with a really cute wine bar, beautifully decorated with the most delicious cheese boards. Great selection of wine and really friendly service, I wish it was down the end of my street :)

Jana, the owner of the Little Wine Bar, is so welcoming and a joy to be around that we never wanted to leave her cute trendy little spot. With a diverse and well curated wine selection, Jana clearly knows what she is doing. And her...rotating meat and cheese selections were the perfect amount to nosh on before we had dinner right up the street at Rumfish, also excellent. The attention to detail in this cozy little spot exemplifies a woman who is passionate about her business and strives to provide you with a wonderful time. We also loved the board games she has to pass the time while sipping a glass or three of fabulous wine. And her wonderful funky hat selection for guests to complete their ensemble is both whimsical and hilarious. Make sure you stop in to the Little Wine Bar in Placencia!! You won’t be disappointed!More

This small wine bar has it all: an amazing variety of international wines, outstanding cheeses and small plates of food, an intimate and eclectic atmosphere (both inside and outside) and, of course, Jana, the owner and wine guru. I have been here many times. It...is a very unique venue in the village for conversing with friends, making new ones, learning about wine, people-watching from the second-floor porch, treating your palate and/or playing games. You may enter the shop serious or silly or anything in between and have a great time. High jinks and jananigans abound! As do fine wines for all budgets. The Little Wine Bar is an oasis for both locals and vacationers.More
