THE Best place to eat in Placencia. Amazing, unique, upscale food - especially for this area. The chef and staff are all amazing.

The Maya Beach Bistro is one of those spectacular finds which a traveller may come across only a few rare times in their life. It doesn't look like much from the road: a non-descript entrance amongst some lush tropical greenery. But once inside the bistro itself, the ambiance, the friendliness of the staff and the magnificent food prove that this... More

Wonderfully prepared food with service to match. You can't beat the view either. We had the grilled fish over a bed of sautéed vegetables with a favorable sauce. This is a popular place so make a reservation.

We stayed 2 homes away from the Bistro, so it was really convenient to eat here often. Breakfast was average, as they have pretty standard fare. The lunch and dinner menu is has a wider variety of Belizean items. All the meals were good. It is not gourmet, but that's not what you are here for. There was something on... More

The first night we went to Maya Bistro, it was New Year's Eve, a few hours after we arrived in Belize. We didn't think of it till we got there, but of course there were a bunch of reservations because of the holiday. Well, they didn't blink an eye, they figured out how to get my wife and I sat,... The best thing about this bistro is the location and service. As a guest here, I loved it, we came in from the sea and literally walked a few feet into the restaurant. If you desire they will bring your meal and drinks to you. Make sure to stop in for happy hour, $2.00 drinks and $4.00 appetizers.

We stayed in a private beach house just North of the Maya Beach Hotel for 10 nights in December 2015/January 2016. We were at Maya Beach Hotel 8 of those nights for their fantastic happy hour - it is that good. The service was amazing every time we came in; regardless of whether we were seated at the bar or... The service is very attentive and the food is great. We enjoyed the fish tacos and the lobster grilled cheese sandwich. We had them last year and this was our first stop for a meal on our return trip. There are many fine restaraunts in Placencia but we travel 8 miles down the road to Maya Beach often for the... More

Lunch was excellent.we had fish and wedges. The presentation was nicely done and service was very good. We had a table on the side by the beach. It was clean and all that worked there were friendly and knowledgable about the menue.

We stay in Stann Creek District a couple times a year every year and rent motorcycles in Hopkins from Emma. We ride south on the Southern Highway for approximately 30 minutes and make sure we always stop in at the bistro. Sipping cocktails, eating lobster tacos, and stuffing ourselves miserably on their decadent desserts is a ritual we can't pass... More

Description
We're certainly far from perfect, but we do try our best to create a winning experience for every single customer, whether they are hotel guests, Belizean neighbors or travelers staying at other hotels. Try pairing small plates with wines, choose from our creative main courses, or just enjoy some comfort food for breakfast or lunch. It's fun for us to meet new people and, well, just make them happy! Our casual beach bistro focuses on unique sauces and contemporary, tropical-themed flavor combinations while maintaining comfortable portions. Lots of fish and seafood. Bar service includes a 130-bottle wine list, local beer, rum drinks, and house specials. The outdoor atmosphere is casual so you can be comfortable in flip flops. Belize's "Restaurant of the Year" award was presented twice to the Bistro in June 2011 and May 2013.
