Ate dinner here on our 1st night in Placencia. What a treat! Very casual - we ran across the street to get drinks - but the food was delicious. The fish was so fresh we actually watched the chef cut it up! Definitely worth the visit.

My wife and I went to have a lunch at Omar's restaurant and the food was really good and the price was not that bad considering it was at placencia.

We short-cut our traditional restaurant seeking mission when the rain drove us in sideways to seek refuge under the Omar's Restaurant canopy. The relaxed setting allowed for us to invite complete strangers getting soaked on the deck's periphery to join us for dinner in our central dry spot. All of us enjoyed our meal. My coconut curry was delicious, but... More

My friend and I went fishing and caught some large Spanish Mackerel with a great guide (Arthur Vernon 501-669-0387). Evan Hall co-owner of the Belizean Nirvana arranged for our fish to be cooked by Omar. We would be charged the same as if we ordered a fish dinner from them. It was excellent. Seeing as how we caught the fish... More

Wanted something local and Omar's has it. If you want good food I recommend eating here. It was the last day for conch and I had never had it before. Although I have nothing to compare it to it was delicious.

We read that this place is hit or miss depending on the chef, and after spending time in Caye Caulker and eating plenty of great lobster, we were underwhelmed with the lobster dinner we were served. But! Lots of people rave about this place. The white rice and Cole slaw was a bit bland as well. Be warned but it's... More

A small restaurant right on the main road on the Placencia strip. They feature fresh catch specials every day that are prepared perfectly. It is a BYOB which makes a very affordable dinner experience. Service is very laid back, so do not go for a quick meal, go to enjoy and stay awhile.

I don't like to write bad reviews. I usually like to think that I had an unusual experience when it's bad, but this was the worst dining experience I've ever had in my entire life. Walking up to an empty dining area should have been a sign to sprint away from this place, but we sat down anyway. Ordering would... More

This place came recommended, so I was expecting a lot. We all found our food to be quite good, but not all that much better than some of the other places we ate. That being said, I was glad we ate here. It was a good experience.

I had breakfast and dinner here on 2 separate days. The breakfast was good and reasonably priced. I had the curry conch special for dinner and so the rest of my party for dinner. The conch meat was tender. The mango shakes were really fruity and one can taste the No#11 mango in it.
