This is a great choice for breakfast. Best we found in San Ignacio. We thought it was better than Pop’s about 1/2 block away, though Pop’s had some awesome bacon. Service was great. Fry jacks were awesome (try them with honey butter). Highly recommend this...place.More
My husband and I enjoyed a great breakfast on the quiet patio at Martha's Guesthouse & Restaurant. I had the Huevos Rancheros with Fry Jacks, and it was probably my favorite breakfast throughout our ten days in Belize. The service was a little bit slow,...as they were training a new employee, but it was also a wonderful reminder to slow down and enjoy the moment.More
We stayed 2 nights at Martha's and wished we had stayed longer. Martha's arranged an airport transfer for us with a stop at the Community Baboon Sanctuary. It was a perfect start to our trip. Then they organized the caves branch tubing and ziplining for...us with lunch. Our guides was wonderful and the trip was a highlight of our time in Belize. Martha's has a wonderful breakfast and lunch with a variety of food options. We had both local food and pizza and loved it all. Martha and her staff are very friendly and hospitable. My kids said Martha's was the best hotel they had ever been to.More
Martha's Guesthouse is truly a gem. Martha and John and staff are to be commended for this warm and wonderful place. We had the top floor room which afforded us a beautiful wrap around balcony, a large suite and en suite. The room was well...maintained and always clean, as was the public areas. We had breakfast early in the restaurant and the service was efficient and the food fresh and delicious. I would without hesitation recommend this guesthouse. It was well situated in town. The only drawback was the weekend noise which could be heard up to our third floor room. But this was offset by the early morning sounds of the birds chirping from the adjacent trees outside our room. i guarantee that you will agree with me that Martha's is the place to stay when visiting the Town of San Ignacio.More

We enjoyed lunch at Martha’s restaurant with very prompt service and delicious Belizean cuisine at very reasonable prices. Our meal included the pork burrito (a jumbo plate that would have been enough for two meals), and chicken nachos, which we washed down with a large...watermelon juice and a soft drink. Price for all was a little over US$12.More
Great little restaurant. I has fried chicken with rice and beans, and my wife had a veggie burger (they make from scratch). We really liked this meal. We also had coffee, it was outstanding. And the server did a nice job. We would retuen. Good...prices also.More
Wonderful breakfast, great staff, charming owner. Guesthouse upstairs are clean and charming. It's right in downtown San Ignacio. Walking distance to the market and local art and craft stores.
No other way to describe Martha's Restaurant. We went there for lunch our first day, and then breakfast the next 3 days we were in San Ignacio. Their fresh juices were amazing. And the service, top notch!!! It was nice that they were open so...early because we were able to grab breakfast right before our excursions. I ended up having the eggs with Chaya and fresh corn tortillas everyday since I have a gluten intolerance and it was so good. Miss their breakfasts already!!More
Maybe it was just the day? Who knows? There was a large group seated when we arrived, but everything took forever. We were sitting without the coffee we ordered for 15 minutes, and a waitress/owner/manager came over and asked "how is everything?" Well, no coffee/...no food. Then one coffee comes, wait longer "how is everything?" No Coffee. The second coffee comes. One plate comes, "how is everything?" No food. Finally second plate comes. We were in a rush, and assumed we had time to eat, but it really took a long time for the food. It probably took 40 mins to get my coffee, and 50 to 60 mins until my food came. Look I'm a New Yorker, and always in a rush, so this just doesn't fly for me. That being said, the food was delicious, I had the eggs with Chaya, and my Fiancé had the stuffed Fry Jacks with Banana Bread. So I recommend coming, just don't need to be anywhere right after, because it takes time! The food was incredibly fresh.More
Had a quick breakfast here with my husband. Both ordered coffee, eggs with Chaya, fruit, & refried beans, & FRESHLY made corn tortillas. Delicious & hot food !! Very nice server & little lizards running around. The policeman that walks around & directs traffic was...so friendly & wished many people a great trip & safe travels - down from San Ignacio Resort hotel. Be respectful of parking & watch for signs !More
Went with my family of 13 for breakfast and the meal surpassed everyone's expectation. The food was great, menu is affordable and the outside dining was just what we wanted. The waitress gave excellent service which added to our great experience. Will definitely return when...in San Ignacio!More

Its a nice and cozy little restaurant downtown San Ignacio. The staff is very friendly and helpful, menu has many local specialties. We had lunch and it was well prepared. The escabeche was very flavourful but had about two dozen whole allspice seeds in it.... They give flavour but you have to pull em out . Otherwise very good overall.More
Had breakfast here. Don’t usually eat English food whilst away however the English breakfast sounded to good. Really enjoyed the food and a nice pleasant setting
