Once you find Erva's, and you take a look at the building, you may hesitate to go in as the atmosphere isn't the greatest, but once inside the food is good. The evening I was there, it seemed as though it was a 'one man does all' operation ... cook, waiter, etc. Service was slow, but considering there was only... More

Creole Fish and Bananas Flambe -- it was super laid back and really tasty -- the prices are a little higher than other places but fine by US standards.

Another hidden gem. Erva's is off the beaten path but worth hunting high and low for. The food is simply amazing! I went there for dinner and then back again for breakfast and I would've like to have gone again, except we had to move on to the next town. The food takes a while to get, because they start... This hidden gem is located just two streets down from the main street, Burns Ave. The food was delicious and the service was fantastic. The waiter explained most of the dishes to us before we ordered and we had a great chat with him and another fellow the next day at breakfast. The portion sizes are huge! Don't let the... More

This place is so good! we thought we were on the wrong road, but it was the right place! simple restaurant, no frills. All the food is made to order, so the food was a little slow coming out, but that was ok as the staff were very friendly and that gave us some time to enjoy the cold Belikin... More

We had dinner and breakfast at Erva's and both meals were excellent. The food is prepared after you order, so it is very fresh. The service was friendly and we wished we had found this restaurant before our last night in San Ignacio.

Don't let the outside appearance keep you away. The food is very good. The service is a bit slow. Especially for breakfast. We waited 15 minutes or more for coffee. Ate dinner there and came back for breakfast the next morning. Would go again.

We had an very good dinner tonight at Erva's. Our waiter recommended the Creole fish ($20 BZ) and mentioned it could be ordered as a combo with conch or shrimp. My wife ordered chicken stew, I went for the combo with shrimp (they happened to be out of conch). It was a very nicely done gumbo-like dish, with good tomato/onion... More

The food was ready good for a good price. The guys also know a lot about the region and activities. Combined with the Guesthouse upstairs, it makes a very nice place to stay in San Ignacio.

A little hard to find down a muddy street as it had rained that day. The waiter was outside with our menus as we approached and quite eager to assist us. A very nice guy who explained the menu well and was attentive yet not over bearing and easy to flag down if needed. The place seemed pretty clean could... More
