My boyfriend and I scheduled a date here at Hodes bar& grill place and it was really great. It was a beautiful and clean environment with so many different trees and plants. Just a little tip for future reference to the waitress that served us,...it would be friendlier in stating your name and greeting us with a cheery aura while approaching us, and giving us a little more time in figuring out what we wanted from the menu . Nevertheless, the customer service skills at the bar area was top tier and we were able to tour the area with the bar cup until we were ready to leave.I'm definitely coming back again.More

Enjoyed dinner here. Staff was terrific. Massive portions of fried chicken. I couldn't finish and I'm a big guy. I left my credit card and the waiter tracked me down in the parking lot. Great place.

Came here with our guide after a tour. Ordered what he did - fried chicken breast, cut up. Meaning they cut it in 3 pieces then battered and fried it. Outstanding and huge. Came with couple of sides. Big spot with lots of space, area...for kids to run around to. N town but outside the hustle and bustle. Well worth a stop.More

We were in San Ignacio for one night and went to Hode’s for dinner. We were lucky enough to have Andrew as our server. He was genuinely one of the nicest people we’ve met. He went out of his way to make sure our meal...was the best it could be. We are vegan…he and the chef both know how to accommodate and they did it with a smile. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a great meal and great service. The atmosphere is lovely as well.More

Stopped here with our guide who suggested it was a locals spot. Was mostly locals with tourists mixed in. Family of three feasted on stewed chicken which was the highlight, braised pork and some beef, fried chicken Combo sampler corn plate with nachos, sopas, enchiladas...and taqueria with a bunch of cold beers and some sodas. With tip the total was around $40USD. Highly recommend.More

We ate at Hode's several times during our stay in San Ignacio. Our meals included a breakfast comprising waffles with fruit and a breakfast burrito and a dinner of the corn sampler and a small baked chicken with rice and beans and potato salad. The...meals were very good and the prices are quite reasonable. Service was attentive and generally excellent. It is a place popular with locals, which is always a good sign. It's a nice, outdoor setting and a good place to grab a snack and a beer or a more substantial meal.More

Great outdoor seating, fast service, wide menu and lots of options of stuff you might not see at many of the more touristic places.

Hode's was highly recommended by our guide, so we stopped in for lunch. The menu is Caribbean with many local dishes to try as well as tried and true favorites. We each tried something different, and ordered a sampler platter for the table. Everything was...scrumptious! Service was fantastic and attentive. Pricing was really sweet as well. For three entrees, a sharable platter of appetizers for the table, and soft beverages the bill was under $25USD before tip. This will be one of our regular places when we move there in a couple months!More

Hode’s has great food for all meals! Their breakfast was always super yummy (it was a buffet style that my travel group arranged), and everything they had to offer was always awesome! Fresh fruit, juices, waffles, eggs, pastries, and so much more! For lunch, my...favorite was their chicken quesadilla. Hode’s has an awesome staff all around, is a really cool space, and I recommend it to anyone!More

We had dinner here and it was a great place for our 3yr old to run around and play on all of the playground equipment. We were glad we stopped and our son was glad to get some energy out!

Our shuttle driver recommended this place for lunch because we wanted local Belizean food. It was a great choice with shaded picnic tables and excellent fast service. The waiter recommended the corn sampler, which was $12 Belize ($6 US). I was worried it was just...going to be a small appetizer platter. Boy - was I wrong. There was so much food it was impossible to finish it, and very very good. All corn based - tacos, enchiladas, tostados and nachos.More
