Is Frans a restaurant? I am not sure - maybe it is, maybe it is the most fantastic pop up food truck, it certainly feels like it could only exist on Caye Caulker - its basically a shack on the beach, Fran gets frfesh lobster and then grills them on a charcoal bbq right on the beach, serving you them... Delicious food, and we got offered free rum and pineapple drinks while we waited... good location, with the ocean breezes!

We had a very disappointing meal at Fran's Grill. It had been hugely recommended to us prior to the evening , so our expectations were high. We were then left hugely disappointed when the lobster given to us was very small, the 'unlimited rum punch' was given out sparingly and the staff were just so unbelievably rude. When we complained... More

they were so nice first but as soon as you sit down.....the service was super unfriendly (and drunk I think), we had to wait 90minutes for our food and the lobster was tinny! we had to ask so many times for the refill of the "unlimited" rum punch, it got really annoying. at the end we just wanted our cake... We had visited in October, so this was our 2nd visit to Fran's and she did not disappoint! This was our first night in Caye Caulker in July! We both had a huge lobster with garlic bread and garlic mashed potatoes! It was delicious! Her prices also include rum punch and chocolate cake! 35BZ... for both of us!! The wind... More

The vegetarian option of the day was a vegetable coconut curry with rice, mashed potatoes and garlic bread. The food was incredible (one of the best meals of my whole holiday) but the service was really slow. We ordered in advance and said we'd be back in an hour. When we got back we waited another hour to get our... More

The food is great. It takes some time, but it is worth it. The free unlimited rum punch may have made me like this place a little more. The cake for dessert is just ok, but again, the food is great. Right on Front Street with all outdoor seating.

Please listen to the terrible reviews. These people have the ability to suck you in but it would be by far the worst food on island... Actually in saying that worst food I ate in the 6 months I've been travelling! The shrimps in the curry were so I over cooked I couldn't eat them. Avoid this place!!!

My friends and I decided to stop by here one night because the ocean breeze felt great. The location of this little hut is right on the water and when the weather is nice and breezy, it's a perfect location. The food on the other hand was OK. I had much better food on the island. Also the unlimited rum... More

Recommend to come here for 'best lobster' my sister had last time she visited the island. Stopped by three times and they never had lobster? On the third night finally decided to settle for the vegetarian curry and my partner ordered the surf and turf. (BZ$25 and $35 respectively including unlimited rum + desert) Really long wait, the 'unlimited free... More
