Did not come for the restaurant. Came for the bar, scenery, and ocean access. We were staying in San Pedro but took the ferry over to Caye Caulker to explore. Landed here and stayed the whole afternoon. Decided to come back the next day because...we had so much fun. The music is great. There is a full service bar with craft beer options. The food is typical bar food. There is an abundance of seating - lounge chairs and tables along the dock as well as a large table in the water. There is also a 10+ foot platform for jumping into the ocean! Our favorite place on the island by far.More

Let me first state, we didn't come here and spend any real time on the island. Our stop here was part of our excursion from our cruise ship. However, it works nicely for that excursion. We were on a snorkeling trip in the area. On...our way to snorkeling, the excursion company took everyone's order on slips of paper. Each family wrote their name on it, and then the number of different things we wanted to order. We stopped here on the way through the split to go snorkeling. Our guides dropped off our orders on the way out. Once we were done, we docked back here, giving people time to change and clean up. The staff had everyone's family name taped to the tables and within probably 5 minutes of sitting down, they were bringing everyone's orders out. We each had a burger & fries, but no drinks for us, we were a bit tired from the previous few days, so just skipped any drinks. We though the service was nice, the ladies were friendly and food served hot and quickly. We had about 45 minutes to hang out and eat, explore the area a little bit and just rest for a little while. We enjoyed our time spent here.More

Backs right up to the split. You can enjoy drinks and food but be warned it is very, very expensive. The ambience is loud music party vibe with lots of lounge chairs for you to relax in It’s a little party music doesn’t interfere with...your vibe. The staff was super nice and there was a restroom on site.More

They had the entire area blocked off (all beaches in Belize are public,Queensland) and were charging $10,00 USD just access the entire area- I live in Belize and have been to The Lazy Lizard a few times, have never had good service or food, and...that would maybe explain why they need to break the law to charge $$ to access public beach areas. Spend your money at one of the many other authentic Belizean places on the island, forget about this tourist trap.More

I've never written a negative review in my life, but this was shocking. We took a seat in this place, it was not particularly busy, and were waiting 10 mins for staff to offer us a menu. When no staff came to us, despite trying...to get their attention, I eventually went looking, and someone said they would send someone over. 5 minutes later, a waitress appeared and gave us menus, and said she would be back. We were waiting for her to come back for about 25 minutes before we gave up waiting and just left. Never seen the like of it before.More

The drinks were expensive (compared to other island locations) and were watered down. Servers were too busy and not very friendly. It seems that your business is expected due to the high publicity of the venue. Get your photos and move on.

Lazy Lizard is a fun place at the split with drinks and food. They had a DJ and there were a lot of people there. They have a place where you can jump off a high dive into the water. It would be a great...place to hang out and party, but I wouldn't describe it as a place to relax or go with kids. The service was average.More

Poor inexperienced servers. Chomping gum must have been mandatory. Slow service. We didn't have food as it was too expensive as were the drinks. Great spot on the Split Spit but not for us

First place we went to after arriving in Caye Caulker and checking into hotel. Great little spot to grab some nachos and a couple drinks. You definitely need to come and check it out. Take some pictures of the cool signs.
