We are staying at Tuto, a two minute walk down the beach and instead of cooking or going into town, we decided to give the restaurant a chance. Boy, are we glad we did. Breakfast was made to order. I ordered the Belize breakfast with...fresh tortillas and refried beans. Hubby had the American breakfast. Both were excellent. Tortillas were fresh and hand made. Orange juice was good too! Absolutely no complaints. Staff was sweet and accommodating. It was a bit warm in the restaurant but it’s cool and a bit rainy outside. You go with the flow. We will be back.More

Restaurant and bar managers Barry and Karina are awesome! Food is great, even made special requests and they were happy to oblige. We have made great friends in the managers and they are 90% the reason we keep returning to visit. The atmosphere is fun...and entertaining, the make time to be personable and make sure their guests are well taken care of. Ashton the bartender is great and very knowledgeable on his beverages.More

Four adults ate here last night since it was within walking distance of where we are staying. Ate outside over the water which was the only nice thing about the dinner. Service was very poor to terrible. One waitress for both indoor and outdoor dinning....Bartender didn’t seem much help either and did not understand our drink requests unless right off their drink menu. We had jalapeño poppers as a starter, four poppers. Three of us ordered the fajitas and one ordered the chicken cassedia. The cassedia was fine but cold. There was not enough meat served with the fajitas to have one piece in each tortilla. The amount of meat, peppers and onions could easily fit in two tortillas. One of the plates just had enough to fill one and maybe a half. Their fresh flour tortillas tasted like they were freshly removed from a bag not made at the restaurant. The slices of steak and chicken were very thin and had little taste. The meal was served without cheese and pico de Gallo as described on the menu. When we request them, the waitress returned with one individual serving of each. We had to request additional pico and cheeses for everyone. Another couple sitting at the table next to us complained twice about how long it was taking to get their food. When it finally did come, the couple left before finishing their meal, went indoors and talked to someone. I feel sorry for those staying at the resort. This restaurant would ruin my stay. Never again will we eat there and recommend others look for an alternative unless you want to over pay for bad food and terrible service. It’s unfortunate because the setting is very nice. We left there hungry and taken advantage of.More

We stayed at the resort and ate there twice, Dinner and Breakfast, awful both times. For dinner, the entrees were fair, but room temperature, almost like they are made in advance and kept under a lamp. The vegetables tasted like frozen bagged mixed vegetables boiled...to the consistency of baby food. For breakfast, 3 american breakfasts and one mayan all cold. I’m not sure how you can botch eggs and bacon. While it is convenient having a restaurant at the resort, we drove to all of our other meals, the food unfortunately was that bad.More

We are staying at the hotel and decided to eat at the in-house restaurant for the convenience, the next night's we will definitely seek other alternatives. The food was okay-ish, but not worth the price. Everything on the plate was overcooked and flavourless. Service is...slow, lacking and unpersonal. We were the only 2 guest in the small restaurant, but despite that, the waiter couldn't remember which of us order what and she was too busy texting on her phone to follow up with us if everything was alright with the meal.More

We found this restaurant to be very expensive. Once, I ordered a cheese burger and the bun was very stale and my husband ordered rice and that was old and stale. During our stay, we also witnessed another couple complain about the burger bun being...hard and stale. They informed the waitress and her response was “oh they should have toasted the bun” she didn’t offer to take it back or anything... this to me is absolutely poor service especially when the burger cost over $20! The food quality was definitely not worth the price we paid!More

Temple Run is the restaurant for X Tan Ha Resort, where we spent our latest visit to Ambergris Caye. Its a small, unpretentious place with excellent friendly service and a reasonably varied menu. The food is very good from Pasta bowls to Jerk chicken tacos....Moderately priced in a market of expensive food generally. We ate there several times during our week stay and were not ever dis-appointed. X Tan Ha is some 7 miles north of San Pedro, so having a good place on site is a blessing when you don't want to take the water taxi, or brave the challenging road to town.More

I don't drink alcohol, but I am traveling with others who do. The bar is well-stocked, staff are very cheerful, play music according to the patrons request, and the restaurant will serve the outdoor bar guests on the pier as well as in the restaurant...area. Don't be in a hurry, I think it's against the rules. We saw many fish from the bar area, including tiny stingray, needle fish, snapper, all manner of tiny fish, and a great assortment of birds. The seaweed does pile up in the morning, but staff quickly work to clear the beaches.More

This review is solely based on the food at Temple Run. Just a 5 minute walk up the beach from Costa Blu which is part of the same resort group (Sandy Point Resorts). I found the food at Costa Blu to be underwhelming and over...priced for what you get. There is nothing wrong with it but nothing exciting either. The food at Temple Run is more authentic, less expensive and more flavorful. Try the jerk chicken bowl or the snapper sandwich.More
