Showed up here for dinner one night and were able to get a table inside where it was pretty hot, but were moved to an outside table as soon as one became available. Kudos to the staff for that. The mixed ceviche dish was absolutely amazing as were the shrimp dishes. A very nice splurge dinner.

If you've been to San Pedro you know the sun sets early and the last water taxi to the resorts runs at 6:30 p.m. We decided to have an early dinner at El Fogon based on the reviews. We arrived just before 5 and they had not quite rolled out the dinner menu on a Monday night. At first I... More

We went there recommended by some locals and it is really like what we were told. Local food, friendly service with a Belizean flair.

My wife and I ordered the fish plate, her's was grilled, while mine was deep fried. Both came with grilled vegetables and coconut rice. We also ordered fruit smoothies. The portion sizes were average and the flavors were good, but not exceptional. The rice had a hint of coconut (compared to a couple of roadside stands in San Ignacio and... More

I had lunch at El Fogon and loved it! I tried the salbutes (similar to Mexican tostadas) as well as a local dish of chicken in a curry sauce and coconut rice and beans. Everything was delicious!

I really enjoyed this restaurant. The food was really good. Grilled lobster at a price anyone could afford. The staff, Juan and James were very attentive and make sure we had a great time. This is a no Miss restaurant while visiting San Pedro
