My family tried this restaurant as a Christmas Eve break from all of the holiday cooking. It was well rated on several review sites and after visiting there it is easy to see why. Everyone one in the family was raving about the dish they purchased. I had the Cashew Chicken and it was was probably one of the best I have ever had (if not the best). The staff was very friendly and made regular trips to the table to make sure we had everything we needed - we were never left wanting.

We have been dining at the House of Chen for 12 years. It is always excellent. We always dine in and have always had excellent service.

We order take out and pick up from the House of Chen. We have tried several other Chinese restaurants in Alpharetta but have not found the quality to be up to par with the House of Chen.
The chicken entrees are always well prepared. The chicken is never dry and the quality of the chicken is quite good.
The soups, dumplings and spring rolls are also quite good. The food always arrives hot. Although we have never dined in, we would. The restaurant is lovely. We have just found it to be a big hit on busy weeknights or weekends when everyone is too tired to go out.

It was depressing to walk into House of Chen, not because it is not nice enough inside, but because of this unfortunate Coronavirus pandemic. The doorway was blocked by tables, and there was not a single person inside (nor any cars outside), except for me and the owner. I almost turned around to leave, but since I felt empathy for the owner, I placed an order for carry out. No doubt his business is failing, though the 4.5 stars review summary indicates some leve of loyal following. Sadly, he will not get that from me. Everything was boring—from the lame egg rolls to the insipid hot and sour soup. The Kung Pao Chicken was rife with good vegetables, but there was nothing even mildly jolting about the taste. There was no evidence of Szechwan peppercorns, and next to no red hot chili peppers. Bland-o-mania, it was. So many Chinese restaurants serve up a phony and tame Americanized version of Kung Pao Chicken. Add House of Chen to the roster.

We live close so we eat here often. But strangely enough we have never dined it. We've either had delivery or stopped by to pick up our order. Very good food. Never had anything I didn't like. Friendly staff as well. Very reasonably priced.

We ordered lunch and had it delivered. Sesame chicken is wonderful...alll white meat with great sauce. Lunch comes with entree, fried rice, soup, egg roll and chicken wing. Great value.

They have been here for years. Good food. Lunch orders are quick and priced great. Wonton soup is my favorite with beef broccoli (spicy). You can even order online and have your lunch delivered or pick it up. Makes it even quicker during the lunch hour.
