Excellent Chinese in attractive space

I stopped liking Chinese years ago because of its overly salty sauces, but the food at Mr. Chef is prepared in such a way that a fussy person like me really likes. The sauces are light, the shrimp is delicious, and we haven't had a bad dish yet! It can get very crowded, but that's because the... read more

As a New Yorker, I know good Chinese food...and, surprisingly, there are not many good Chinese restaurants in the North Miami Beach/Aventura area. This is one of the better ones but I am not impressed with the service. It is often crowded and they do not seem to be ready for the volume. Even waiting for take-out takes way too... More

We have ordered food for this restaurant many times and even had lunch there once or twice since we work right across the street. The food has always been excellent, so when my 92 year-old in-laws told me they really wanted to have some Chinese food, this is the first place I thought of. What a mistake. We had a... More

Perhaps the most bland tasteless Chinese food I have ever eaten. To say the service was slow is an understatement. The only positive thing was that the hot and sour soup was served at a high temperature (hot) but the taste was not really hot. The skimpy supply of lettuce for the lettuce wraps was embarrassing for the Resturant. If... More

Despite the reviews we came on a local recommendation. Total chaos. Waited 2 hrs for table and food which was hot but tasteless. Poor service. Fort Lauderdale/Hallandale deserves better. Try something else.

We were a group of 14 people. The restaurant was practically empty yet the service was slow and disorganized. Some of the orders never arrived at all. After 2 hours my son still did not get his dish!! If you are more than 4 people I would seriously avoid this restaurant.

They have options far from the typical column A and column B chinese restaurants. They have a health menu consisting of really good vegetables/fish with no salt, msg, or any of the other standard chinese additives. Their Udan noodles are great as well as their soups and the request for no salt is honored. Delivery is when requested and food... More

They make a fine dumpling and always remember the sauce. The beef satay was well seasoned but a little tough. The honey chicken was excellent - crispy with sauce on the side. That was a fine touch for delivery. The calamari appetizer was not a good choice for delivery. It did not retain its crisp coating. The salt and pepper... More

Americanized version of Chinese food but quality is generally good. Staff is kind of indifferent but ambiance is nice, although you would never know you were in a Chinese restaurant.except for the staff and menu. Not bad for Florida
