So the other reviews talk about the place being run down, that is a very true statement. My experience was they are a very small restaurant, need more space for diners, and they are under staffed. There is no organization, the waitress was bring me my drink and sauces, she was stopped and question about what she was doing, I... More

Eat wonderful seafood with the locals! The Seafood Kitchen offers a large variety of options and gives you plenty to eat! Have it fixed the way you want it! Super friendly service. It's homey. Come casual. My hubby and I come on a regular basis. We are locals and this is truly our favorite place!

I'm a vacationer, but this is where the locals eat! Great choice!! Everything was tasty and generous portions. The staff made you feel like family. I ordered the seafood platter and I must say it was the best devil crab I've ever eaten (besides my grandmothers). We will most definitely return next time we are in Jacksonville. My only recommendation,... More

Tried this place because of recommendation from a friend. It's in a strip mall, which is a little weird and unappealing, but the food was good. Inexpensive compared to many places and has a casual atmosphere. You definitely don't come here for the view, the unique style of food, or a fun experience. It's just good ol' fried seafood for... OMG! We were lookin for a local seafood restaurant / dive and decided on this one. We couldn't be happier with our choice. Raw oysters at 12 for $6 is hard to beat. Soft shell crab and scallops were fried (which I try to avoid. I prefer raw or steamed) but I had no regrets. Don't let the interior keep... More

A simple restaurant building with a nautical theme interior, tables and chairs. Servers wear jeans and T-shirts with the Kitchen's logo. Don't let this fool you. The menu is extensive and all items are cooked to order and served piping hot! Daily specials for lunch and dinner. One of my favorites is the one dozen oysters, raw or steamed, for... More

We've seen this spot when dining at our favorite restaurants in the same parking lot. One day we decided to try this place. It is extremely casual and when we want a night out this doesn't fit the bill. But if we want casual this is better than fast food. The food was amazing! We ordered the fried seafood platter... We went there three times in the past week. Yeah, I like it. The first visit, I had fried grouper. It was very good. Unlike previous times, the fillets were a little thin, so they were a little tough on the edges. I had never had ANY complaints before, AT ALL. The service was outstanding, as usual. The second visit,... More

We where riding and looking for small local seafood restaurants. The Seafood Kitchen came up on trip advisor. We liked the menu. We had oysters on the half shell and Trigger fish for lunch. We received three slabs of nice meaty fish on each plate. We order it blacken and it was just perfect. This is a small place but... More

Absolutely great place. Have taken large groups here a couple of times and have never been disappointed. Mahi, trigger and crabs are outstanding. My only complaint is that the plates are too large. I would like to see a smaller entree for a few dollars less and not have so much take-home!
