Saw a menu for a tapas restaurant in our hotel and was looking for something small. However this cafe is next door to the tapas place which we avoided due to the loud music. Pleasant atmosphere, slow service (which I attributed to only 2 wait staff). However worth the wait because the food was outstanding

Our Apalachicola based friends invited us to join them for dinner the night before we left St. George Island, at Tamara's Cafe. Seafood is featured here, and it was all good! The black beans and saffron rice served with my grouper were delicious (as was the fish), and the churros I had for dessert were HUGE - and yummy! Another... More

The menu will not be your traditional seafood menu. I had tabasco fried flounder over bacon/macaroni for an entrée and it was incredible. My wife had a watermelon salad and seared tuna which was good. they had lionfish as a special but the flounder sounded so good. The pecan crusted grouper is always good too.

Horrible - they were out of or didn't have Ranch Dressing. Ordered pancakes - got the order and they were out of butter too. Quesadillas - one person ordered shrimp - was not able to eat- lettuce soggy and shrimp tasted old. The other was chicken and not bad - however the quesadillas were supposed to have chips and salsa... More

We had a group of 9 people for dinner and Tamara's was the perfect place for an amazing time. We arrived about 930pm and the staff took great care of us. Steaks were perfectly cooked. Wilted Spinach, our favorite was delicious, Lion Fish, an interesting option was also very good. We love Tamara's!

Have been for lunch several times... Get the fried pork loin! This visit was my first for dinner. A little pricey but worth it. People in my party had the ribeye, chicken/feta dish and the pork dish. Everyone ate EVERYTHING! The mashed potatoes with horseradish rocked! Go. Enjoy.

We went here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised! Our waitress was very welcoming and kind, and when I couldn't decide on which local beer to try she brought me a couple samples. The service was fast and friendly. The fried oysters were average and the crab (crab cake, not lump meat) quesadilla was decent. However the black bean soup... More

Was passing through town in February 2016 and came upon this great little place to eat and relax. Food and service was excellent, I really recommend the grouper throats.

Went for breakfast and had read the reviews about how long it takes so we had no problem with that issue. We had 2 aprepas for breakfast and skipped the coffee thinking it would save some time but it didn't. Cashier was openly not interested in being their nor to provide a basic level of customer service. I did see... More
