In a town saturated with Italian restaurants, Ellina stands out as the greatest. The food is incredible, the atmosphere is cozy and classy, and the service is unparalleled. The owner Jill is a talented sommelier and the servers are attentive and recommend the best wines...and dishes. Whenever I’m in town I want to support local restraints, and Ellina makes it so easy to do so!More

When you decide about going out for dinner you expect good food, good enviroment and also a nice service. Unfortunatelly we had a terrible experience during checking in at this restaurant. We arrived there on time according to our reservation and had to wait since...our table was not yet available. After 20 min waiting another group arrived and approached the hostess for check in. They had the same reservation time and same table size. For our huge surprise, the hostess sit them directly. We got really disappointed and started talking to her to understand what was going on. And then the worse part happened: another woman appeared and started treating us with a LOT of disrespect. When we told her about the situation she said in a very rude way: IT IS ENOUGH and we will have to wait if we want to get our table. After saying these things she simply turned around and walked away from us. We got chocked and continued talking to the hostess, who was clearly embarassed with the whole situation. Suddenly that women (called Jill) came back and told us again that it was enough and in a very unpolite way said she was the OWNER of the restaurant and we could leave if we didn’t want to wait for the next table. Obviously we told her we would immediately leave and would never come back again in such a terrible place owned by such kind of person that doesn’t even care about her own customers. Her reply: Sure, you can leave! My pleasure! I don’t usually write reviews here, but I NEVER in my entire life saw such a lack of respect and care. Unfortunatelly we cannot give a ZERO star, but for sure it would be the score for this poor restaurant and terrible service.More

The service was very good and the food was tasty. However, the restaurant was small with low ceilings and loud music. With everyone speaking loudly we couldn’t hear ourselves think! It’s a reasonably expensive restaurant and the atmosphere just didn’t work for us; we couldn’t...wait to get out of there!More

This was our first dining experience here and we had a tremendous experience. Our waitress Angie was a superstar, as my wife accidentally spilled a half a glass of wine and Angie replaced it gladly at no cost. The dining room is absolutely beautiful and...I would encourage you to eat downstairs versus outside. The food is fantastic and we started with the artichoke, perfectly cooked and delicious, and my wife had the ahi tuna tartare which was generous in portion and exceptionally flavorful. I opted for the chicken special which was in a blood orange reduction and it was absolutely delicious. We look forward to coming back!More

Had a confirmed reservation in writing and owner could not have been more rude. We had been waiting in line while Courtney the hostess chatted with random people in the restaurant while we waited in mine along with several other customers. Would never eat here.

First things first - get the artichoke bruschetta starter. The best thing I've had in ages; I could order this dish for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Brilliant achievement by the chef. Now everything else - perfectly lovely dinner, but not mind-blowing.. The dining room is...cozy, and our server was a delight. Our entrees (pepper pasta and beef short rib) did not blow us over, but they were tasty and beautiful. Wine list had excellent options. I will 100% come back next time I'm in Aspen.More

This is a fantastic restaurant in every way. I have eaten here for many years and have made it our go to restaurant when we are in town. I have read the one bad review and all i can think of is that person has...a serious personality problem. If you know this restaurant then you know the owner is by far a superior restauranteur, Sommelier, and operator. The food is wonderful and the staff is very experienced. Please try this restaurant when you are in town.More

I’m a fan of all types of chocolate however, Ellina in Aspen has the most phenomenal chocolate cake! The food and drinks were just as delicious and I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this place. Strongly recommend Ellina if you’ve ever in the area.

One of the BEST restaurants in Aspen, if not the best! Quite simply, the food is out of this world! The ambiance is lovely with indoor and outdoor seating right on the promenade! We’ve been coming to Aspen for years, and Ellina is always our...first stop! Be sure to try the Parmesan puffs! One order is never enough!!!More

You will find better food and service in a North Korean prison camp. I pray for all the pour souls who have had to endure the pain of dining at this torture chamber disguised as a fine dining restaurant. The service isn't just bad, it's...non-existent. The good news is they don't have to use the special bear-proof trash cans to dispose of the food because even a starving bear wouldn't touch this unpalatable rancid garbage. Save your time, money, energy, and sanity and go to any one of the other amazing restaurants in Aspen: white house tavern, cache cache, french alpine bistro, etc... Note: apparently the owner claims that every bad review is fake. They did this to my review on Google. I will find a copy of the reservation and post it here as well as there, our reservation was for a party of ten people , broken into two tables, I believe on August 4th.More

Delicious! The appetizers were fabulous, the meal was excellent, the atmosphere is warm and elegant. The owner is a wonderful sommelier and picked a delicious wine to share between 3 different style wine drinkers- and we all enjoyed it. This was my first time and...I have eaten all over aspen. How could I have missed this place. I cannot wait to go again!More
