Great place to sit on the patio with friends and family - enjoy some drinks and eat some food - while sitting under lights and flowers! Chasity is the best! We come back time and time again just to have her serve us!

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. He had a fried fish appetizer and I ordered a sandwich. The food was very tasty and we enjoyed it. Our server, also the bartender, was alone the entire time (except for the cook)...and did an amazing job handling all of the tables by herself. That being said, as time went on and customers kept arriving, it was easy to see that she was slowly losing the ability to keep up with demand. Customers arriving later than us did not get their food in a timely manner, because there wasn’t additional staffing to assist the bartender. This place gets four stars solely for the tenacity of our server and the obvious competence of the cook. I hope management can staff the place properly in the near future!More

I don't know why I haven't been here earlier, other than I always get sucked in by restaurants on Old Wads, but I was very pleasantly pleased when I finally did visit for lunch. Nice menu, typical of taverns but hey, that is what one...would expect. I had a great burger, my wife had a great salad, and the waitress was one of the nicest and most efficient that I've had in a long time. Nice ambience inside, great deck out front and one in back - great location, right across from the light rail.More

July 6th was a very bad night at the Tavern. Never had such poor service there. Went with another couple. Did not order anything difficult. I got calamari appetizer and a loaded baked potato. Husband ordered grilled cheese. Other couple wings and french dip. We...got ours, albeit a cold baked potato, they did not get theirs. Husband went to ask what was going on since we ordered at same time and place had about ten people when we came in. Waitress started crying, heard yelling in kitchen, employee of 3 days came over to apologize. Think he said the chef left. May be a really long time before we go back.More

Unfortunately an employee experienced a family emergency. Apologies.

Been going to the Grandview since they opened. A few owners later and they have improved on one of my favorite places. The food has become even better, They have kept some times but added others. One of the few places you can go and...have a corn dog. They have a pub steak and flat iron steak that would put most fancy steak houses to shame. The prices are reasonable and they have a following of regulars that knows you name. I can go for brunch on the weekend or bring my dad in to dinner and to watch the game. It is not too loud and the service can not be beat.More

Great Burger, nice bar atmosphere. They were short staffed but the server did it all and made sure we were well served.

I have been to Arvada several times and frequent this area when I do travel to Colorado because we love it. I hadn't been to Grandview though. We walked in on a Saturday night to about 5-6 people sitting at the bar rail. (that was...it in the whole place) We sat down and at first the bartender was cordial by introducing himself, but this didn't last long. My friends ordered a couple of beers and I just ordered a chilled shot. Well my shot did not come chilled as he slopped most of it out on the way to deliver it and when he set it down the limes fell into the shot completely, with more of my drink spilling out onto the bar top. He sloughed it off and said he would bring me another one. Which he didn't. As i was about to say something the girl sitting next to us, along with 2 others, said to get the other shot because I wasn't going to drink that one. (it was obvious in the short time we spent there that they were friends, or definite regulars) He takes the shot and says "who wants a shot?" and proceeds to give it to his friends sitting at the bar rail - the second shot he poured was also not chilled and no lime this time at all, and you could tell that he was frustrated, but at a simple request? We said no thank you and said we were leaving, he then yelled at us to get out, in a tantrum kind of way. I've never experienced such an unprofessional individual. Maybe some of the other staff is more professional, but knowing that this employee thinks that behavior acceptable makes me think twice about the business standards. I would not go back.More

We arrived in Denver from the east coast and were looking for a late lunch after we checked into the hotel down the road. We both got burgers after the server recommended them to us. They were good, but nothing spectacular. I ordered sweet potato...fries as a side. These were average. However, I must admit I’m a snob when it comes to sweet potato fries. We ordered a couple of local beers and they were good. The server was on point as well. It was an overall decent experience. I go again and try something else on the menu.More

I've written a review for Grandview in the past. The review was not at all complementary. However, after hearing the restaurant had improved, I decided to go back. Well, I'm still disappointed in the place. It took a long while for the server to take...our drink orders, and after we finally did get them, he never returned to take our food orders after waiting for about 25 minutes. I understand he was "slammed" but, management should have more wait people helping on a Saturday afternoon. Not sure I'll try a third time.More

We stopped in for lunch and just wanted to split an order of their fish-and-chips (that was being promoted on the sandwich board outside). The server didn't give us any grief, and even had the chef split the order onto two plates, which meant that...of the five fish fillets, one had to be cut in half (on the diagonal, of course :) Nice. It was too warm to sit outside, but we could well imagine how pleasant it might be to dine and people-watch. Fun, old, historic building sets the tone for this place. Exposed brick and a long bar that's probably close to original. You can certainly get a sense of history of the town and the building from dining here.More
