We were pleasantly surprised last year when we ate here for the first time. Driving from Estes park, you start to think you're lost and then you arrive at this darling old inn. The inside is warm and inviting. Love the aquarium. The staff is exceptional. We all enjoyed our dinner. I would stay with the the Austrian cuisine, that... More

We enjoyed an exquisite dinner with excellent service. Menu included several unique offerings, and presentations were attractive. Dining here is an annual rite for our family, and we plan to return. Prices are high but commensurate with the quality of the experience.

This is one of the best restaurants in Colorado. It's a little off the beaten path, but well worth the drive. The ambiance is great, the food is great, and the staff is great. Not a cheap meal though. You get what you pay for. We've been 4 out of the last 5 years for our anniversary.

Elegant restaurant with great food, but a high price. The only disappointment we had was the surprise on how few customers were there on Tuesday night during tourist season in the Estes Park area. We were glad our friends asked us to join them for dinner. One of the special that evening was elk steak; two of our party picked... More

This place would do well in any big city; tucked into Allenspark, it's a particularly special treat. Expect 5 star prices, but come ready to love the Swiss-German inspired cuisine. We loved every part of our dinner. The rouladen were a special highlight.

This is a 5 star gem hidden in the wilderness! Allenspark is a tiny quaint mountain village half an hour from anywhere! The Inn is an Alpine type setting with hundreds of hummingbirds flitting around the beautiful outside gardens. The interior reminded us of a small Swiss mountain retreat. The menu has multiple unique entry's, and varies seasonally. We found... More

We recently had dinner at the Fawn Brook Inn in Allenspark. We have enjoyed eating there for many years for special occasions. The restaurant is in a beautiful mountain setting with brightly colored flowers and hummingbirds outside and rustic wood interior. We always look forward to going because the food has always been fabulous. We have never been disappointed until... More

The restaurant has a nice rustic charm, but the dining chairs are very uncomfortable. I found myself squirming after a while on the bare wood. The wait staff is very accommodating and gracious, but can't make up for the food. My companion and I had the seafood with noodles, and it was tasteless! The few noodles were gummy. I'm really... Surrounded by mountains and hummingbirds, this restaurant started as a bath house in the early 1900s. Menu is a bit narrow and perhaps a bit too adventurous for some, it included elk steak as well as traditional items like Beef Wellington. At the upper end of pricing, the quality reflects the price and the service was outstanding. Small number of... More

A hidden treasure! This place is not easy to find but what a delight. The food is expensive but very delicious and such a cute quiet place to dine in the middle of the woods. The staff was great and you will love the atmosphere.
