Outdoor seating along with a Happy Hour and centrally located makes this place a perfect place to meet friends for a drink and appetizers. They also have plenty of indoor seating. Service was fast and friendly. Our server, Christian, was happy to give us taste...tests of their Craft beers.More
We arrived a few minutes before 6 pm and were able to order two drinks at their happy hour prices - a house margarita ($4.95) and a green chili beer (for $3.75). I enjoyed the chili beer so much that I ordered another one at...the regular price ($4.99). They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.More
We chose this place based on the reviews but we left very disappointed. We ordered drinks, appetizers and entrees. We waited 45 minutes for the food after which appetizers and entrees arrived at the same time. On top of this the steak was not cooked...medium-rare as asked and came cold as well as the burger. While waiting for the food my husband finished is beer but the waitress never showed up so he couldn’t get another one.
Empty dishes were never collected during the dinner and we ended up piling them to have some space to eat on our table.
Such a shame because the place as potential and a nice menu.More
It looks as if there are a lot of mixed reviews about the SLVBC, but we have been here twice on different trips thru Alamosa and this brewpub has become our go to place. The food is typical brewpub fare (burgers, sandwiches, craft beer) -...it is good food, even if it is not outstanding (altho one of son's believes their pulled pork bbq sandwich is the best he has ever had). Beer is brewed on site and I even took home a six pack of their Ol' 169 Oatmeal Stout. All of their beers are available for sale in 6 packs and growlers. Outdoor seating was packed at dinner time on Friday night but inside seating was available and gave us a great view of the old bank vault door behind the bar. Great photo op!!More
I made a quick trip into San Luis last night to pick up some beer to take back to our hotel/home - I'm not a huge IPA drinker (my husband is), but even I liked their 168 Steam Driven IPA! Next time we visit Alamosa,...we will plan to dine-in!More
The beer was ok but the food wasn’t fit to eat. The pulled pork sandwich was drowned in chipotle sauce that was so hot no human could eat it. I was sweating profusely after two bites. The server could care. His attitude was “too bad...for you”! Too bad for him on the tip!More

I am always sad to hear a guest's experience of our products was unpleasant. If your server gave you the impression he didn't care, I apologize, and would like to assure you that I do care. I want to cover the cost of the BBQ...More

There is seating outside on Main Street and on the west side of the building. No patio, one person had their dog on leash and it was laying very quietly next to the table. Colorado seems to be pet friendly. I noticed people walking their dogs on Main Street and stopping to chat with the diners sitting outside. It is a popular place to sit when the weather is agreeable. My best guess is service dogs allowed inside and leashed pets outside.
