For craft beer fans, this is THE place in Alamosa, and for the non beer drinkers, this is the place for a "bar food" meal in a re-stored bank w/vault incorporated into the serving bar.. Menu includes the "usual" burgers, chili, salads, soups BUT also special tasty sausage samplers w/ sauerkraut. Plentiful portions, friendly staff, can fill up your growlers... More

green Chile and sausage sampler was the best. atmosphere was great, history lesson. site of old bank and another old business. cowboy hangout, lots of good natured hooping and hollering. Valle Caliente beer was the best pepper beer of our trip.

Traveling through and stopped. Food was good. My fish was not cooked all the way and the chili tasted like it came from a can. The steak was half fat, but the edible part was very good. Burger was great. Fries were too. Beer here is brewed here, so really good. Atmosphere is Sports bar like. Overall, pretty good...would probably... More

and took a jug with me to Florida. So I did and still have the EMPTY bottle on my shelf. Being from Alamosa I wanted it for a reminder it used to be a favorite fountain drug store.

We visited this place after we checked into our hotel. The beer was delicious and the appetizers were good. The service was great and it had a fun atmosphere. I would definitely go here again!

Travelling Colorado this fall. Stayed in Alamosa overnight. Asked Desk Clerk at motel where to eat. He recommended this place. I love good craft beer and have had good brew in many states. Had their "Signature Brew" It was not good at all! I wanted to give this place a fair shake, so ordered a different one of their beers... More

Good beer, good service, good ambiance and good food unless you are vegetarian. They do offer a veggie burger -- but it was one of those white-I-don't-know-what-it-is patties -- yuck. The toppings were great -- suggestion to cook -- check out the black bean burgers at SmashBurger. It would have been perfect with the toppings.

After 8pm in this small town not many options available for food. Local hotel staff recommended this establishment and it was less than adequate. Not enough food options - fried No choice of condiments or variety of dressing. Very loud Old benches for seating Decor needs a face lift

We were visiting Alamosa for the Dunes and saw TripAdvisor had rated SLBC pretty high. We like beer. Good beer. And we weren't disappointed in the beer. Our waitress was busy but attentive. The food was a disappointment. I ordered the Chicken teriyaki salad ( I'm wheat and dairy allergic so I avoid as much as possible) I was stunned... More
