Very disappointed in the take out food that we received. They served very small portions, yet charged a huge price. Tamales were dry, undesirable, and tacos were fair. Chicken burrito had bones in it. We won't order from there again. What a horrible experience.

They have a very expensive burritos and generic, they used to be good and the price was not bad. The owner has a bad attitude once they got poppular, they even charged for the chips and salsa, most mexicans reataurants will bring them free of...charge. ❌ ships and salsa $3.99 ❌ they have an advetisement of butrritos for $3.99 (only breakfast, cheese, potatoe and egg) all other burritos are $7.99 and up, they are small ❌they lower the quality of the service overallMore

We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of a local. Yes, they do charge for their chips and salsa, however it was very clear that the chips and salsa were homemade and fresh. I had the combo platter and enjoyed it very much. Hubs...had a burrito covered in green sauce and holy moley it had some heat. He enjoyed it very much. I look forward to trying it again once Covid is over and the buffet is back open.More

Excellent service with great food, this is a family run restaurant where they work as a team to make sure you have everything you could want. I had the steak fajitas with corn tortillas and hubby had the chicken, pork, and beef enchiladas; both meals...were flavorful and left us full and happy. Also tried the fried ice cream...loved it!More

Highly regarded traditional Mexican spot with a huge menu. Be advised that the advertised buffet/sides bar was not operating due to the Coved restrictions. After being seated we were asked if we would like chips and salsa and we said yes. The red salsa that...came with had a good bit of heat (later in the meal we were served pico de gallo which was delicious and would go really well with the chips if you ask for it). Also, be aware that, yes, they do add a charge for these chips unlike in many, many Mexican restaurants. Our orders this evening were Tacos Al Pastor and Fajita Quesadilla. The Al Pastor-pork marinated in Pineapple juice-was delicious but the tacos themselves were quite small and not really a good value. When I normally order a quesadilla it’s served as a folded over tortilla cut into wedges similar to pizza. And pictured that way in the restaurant. Ours arrived tonight more like a grilled burrito cut into rounds. Odd but ok. Unfortunately there was a distinct lack of the onions and peppers listed but the chicken was grilled perfectly. Be aware that this quesadilla is served without any cheese like some. It seems that Margarita’s are very popular here and are huge. We did not partake tonight but would cautiously recommend this place for friendly Mexican food.More

Had dinner with a group of friends at Calvillo's and unfortunately only 2 of the 6 people in our group enjoyed their meals. The tostada's and the fajita quesadilla's were very good but the remaining dishes left a lot to be desired. Specifically the steak...and shrimp dish lacked flavor and the steak was overcooked and the carne asada dish also lacked flavor. We were also surprised that we were charged for the chips and salsa that was placed on the table when we were seated. Although it was not a lot this is typically always free in other mexican restaurants.More

We loved the tacos pastor and the taco salad. The food was served quickly and tasted authentic! My dad got the chicken enchilada and he really liked it and my mom really liked her carne asada tacos.

We stopped in after 7 pm for dinner on a Tuesday night. We were a bit confused because Google listed that they closed at 7 PM but TripAdvisor stated that they closed at 9 PM. Our nearby motel assured us that they were open after...7 PM. We walked over and noticed that they had a “closed” sign but their door was still open. We walked in, and an employee told us that they were still open. We were seated at a properly spaced table and promptly brought us chips and salsa (for a stated $2 charge). My wife and I ordered their 2 for $12 house margaritas which were OK. We were not very hungry so we split their Panchos Burrito ($8) that came with refried beans, rice, and choice of meat (shredded beef, chicken, shredded pork or ground beef) as well as 3 sauce choices (red, green, or ranchero). We selected shredded pork and green sauce. The sauce was spicy and also creamy, which my wife liked but was not my favorite. My wife ordered an ala carte crispy shredded beef taco ($2.79). She did not realize until she had taken several bites that it was actually ground beef and not shredded beef, so she was disappointed. When we got the bill, it listed shredded beef. Therefore, the kitchen much have messed up. Overall, we were slightly disappointed with our meal.More
