I've been going to NW Inn for many years. Decided to treat myself to a steak and lobster dinner which comes with the 2 salads, baked potato, rice pilaf. In years past, the server always offered to mix the salads (a tradition) but not this time. She just put them on the table and asked if I knew about the... More

I lived near the original Northwoods Inn and frequently ate there until I left CA in 2000 for Texas. While back in CA last week, 8 of us dined at the Azusa location and it was nostalgic because nothing has changed (except prices). You still get a bowl of peanuts to start and still throw the shells on the floor.... More

I have been dining at Claremans restaurants since the early 1950's and the Northwoods Inn in Azusa and the one in La Mirada are both a real treat. The buildings look like a mountain lodge both inside and outside, and the food is delicious. They specialize in steaks (their filets are my favorite, but they also have chicken and seafood...my... This place used to be great. Prices have jumped and portion has gotten MUCH smaller. Long waits. Ok place for a special occasion. Food was ok, but the price of it got to me. Sorry. This is a pass from now on

Having dined at various Northwoods Inns for over 40 years, it had been quite sometime, years since our last visit. We were in the Pasadena area recently, and wanted a comfortable "easy going" and tasty restaurant experience. We had an early dinner at the Northwoods Inn in San Gabriel, located at Rosemead and Huntington Dr. We dined in the bar,... More

We went after going to a America's Got Talent showing in Pasadena. All my family have always love this place. Now the food quality has gone down abd the prices of gone up. The baked potato was overcooked and they don't serve a vegetable with the meat and potato, they give you rice, another starchy food. You're better off just... More

On Thursday, February 18th, we went to Northwoods Inn for our youngest daughter's 27th birthday. We have always loved going there for their salad and yummy cheese bread. Wow, the prices have really gone to the moon. The food was not as good as it once had been. I always get a filet plus the potato and salad and bread.... More

Northwoods Inn is a classic San Gabriel Valley restaurant chain. The location on Azusa Ave is actually located in the city of Covina. The food is excellent. The restaurant is dark and the menu can be hard to read for people who don't have it memorized by now. Peanut shells on the floor and a very easy going atmosphere. This... More

Great Food and drinks. The bread and the salad are the best. I always have the medium Lumberjack steak.

OK, first of all, not only is the food you order GREAT, but the salad and cheesy bread you get to snack on before the meal arrives is enough to fill you up. If you ever go one time, you will go back often to enjoy the food and service they have. There are two locations but the one on... More
