This is my forth trip to Avalon. This is my favorite. Can I say more. Not dressy, better prices than most. Chowder is the best I have had here. My sister loved the lobster. I liked the fish Kabob. Spinach salad is filling and tasty. Thanks Lobster Trap Folks

A little hole in the wall kind of place with lots of great choices. Ahi stuffed mushroom appetizer... Yum! Grilled halibut sandwich also good as was my spinach salad. (Had to have some greens) it's only a block from the main drag, but we found it by accident. Lucky for us.

We stopped for lunch. The atmosphere was dark and dated. The waitresses were not very friendly. The food was tasty but definitely not the best seafood restaurant I've been to...not sure I would go back.

My Husband and I visit Catalina for five days every year to celebrate our anniversary. We love to eat at the Lobster Trap when we are on the Island. Today we had lunch but we have also been there for dinner in past years. We started with the clams. Wow they were great ! Lucky for us my husband ordered... More

Not worth rating. Didn't get the opportunity to eat there. Staff were not prepared to seat us after waiting for more than an hour. Their loss we were welcomed to the blue water which was a very nice restaurant.

I am amazed that on Catalina you find imported fish served in many restaurants. We came to the Lobster Trap because we saw Yellow Tail on the menu. They also had fresh caught CA halibut. We didn't find that at other restaurants.

The Lobster Trap is a very good place to eat and is one of the very nice restaurants that are open later (11 pm) on the island. The seafood platter was very good and the lobster roll was fantastic. I didn't have the lobster, but I saw several people that got it and it looked great. Its a very dependable... More

Only two restaurants in town reliably have true Local fish. If the local fish at the Lobster Trap didn't come from Caleb's boat, he probably knows the boat they came from. At other restaurants "local" means caught in Southern California waters and then taken to the mainland and them most likely sent to the island by Santa Monica Seafood company.... More

A lot of hype but not overly impressed. The decor was fun. The best thing we ate was the Mexican shrimp cocktail. I did not enjoy the fried shrimp or the crab Louie salad.
