Good place to meet friends and have a beer ! Finger foods are upper end frozen foods mostly deep fried but good. Not really a family dinner type place..

We had lunch and cold Mexican beers here while watching college football games. We enjoyed the food and excellent service from the waiters. Prices were a good value to the food we ordered. Located in a good central location to central Avalon.

We stopped in for supper and drinks our last day on the island - the food was ok but wasn't impressed with the fish n chips, I mean we are on an island. We didn't find the drinks to be anything special and there wasn't a view.

This is a wonderfully located and killer food. Had the menudo and it was very authentic. The drinks are very inexpensive.

Coyote Joe's is located on one of the side streets off of the main boardwalk. We were looking for a place to enjoy a quick drink for Happy Hour and relax and watch the people wandering thru the shops. The service was good and our drinks cold - just what we needed.

I will come clean right up front and say that I live in Texas and we set a high bar for Mexican Food. Coyote Joe's did not make the grade. The food was just OK and the service was pretty poor. It seemed like our waitress forgot about us for a while and the plates were just barely tolerably warm... More

We spent a day on Catalina and before catching the boat back to Long Beach stopped at Coyote Joe's for a Margarita. It was the best looking restaurant where we could enjoy our drink on their open terrace. Service was friendly and prompt, the menu looked good and the Margaritas were excellent.

We ate here twice, and both times it was breakfast. The food and service were quick! The drinks were delicious as well. It was reasonably priced. The also had a great electic mix of music playing.

Simple but awesome. Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. On a pretty busy Sunday summer morning, the great waitress let us hold a few seats at the bar for friends who were running late off their boat. We all enjoyed bloodies, eggs, bacon and pancakes. All the breakfast places get busy in Avalon, but the staff never made... More
