I have been eating at Ikedas since I was a child and the hamburger tastes as it always has- delicious. You can even eat it now with a fine glass of Rombauer, or always a favorite, a classic root milkshake. While it is a burger joint/fast food, burgers are made to order, which may take up to 10-15 minutes. No... More

Stopped by to pick up cookies and stuff for the kids in Novato. Had to get her favorite cookies and a apple pie. Nice little framers market bakery and deli.

Ikeda's has been around a long time and is well known to people traveling through Auburn on Hwy 80. Very good food, good service, good deserts and a wonderful fruit and veggie market, too. Tri-tip sandwich, burgers and pies are exceptional.

Fresh seasonal produce year round, scrumptious pies too! The burgers ( they'll ev n make it tofu if you'd like) are really good, but their fresh fruit shakes are the best. Try some of their specialty sauces, there is always a wide variety to choose from.

Nice small market with lots of specialty items. Very good pies, both sweet and meat type. A bit pricey but worth a stop when you are in the area.

Everyone raves about the pie--including PBS show A Few Good Pie Places--but the burgers and chicken sandwich and pot pies are also really, really good. And there is a deluxe farmstand store where you can stock up with things normally found at the farmer's market. It is right off Interstate 80 at the Foresthill exit just east of Auburn. We... More

My wife's family is from Auburn and we come to visit a couple of time a year. We come to Ikedas almost daily when we are in town. The Famous Big Burger is the best burger of all time. They also have a fruit stand and fresh food. So you can also pick up fruit or a piece of pie.

Everytime I visit Auburn, I enjoy going to Ikeda's. They have everything from fresh produce to homemade pies. Their restaurant serves really delicious hamburgers and fresh pie ala mode among other things. There is outdoor seating now comma and the atmosphere is festive. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves when you go there.

On our way from Tahoe back to the Bay Area, my friends suggested stopping at Ikeda's. They suggested I have a burger and a piece of pie, so I had a Mushroom Big Burger and a slice of Marion berry pie. Both were yummy, though I'd say the burger might have been the best I've had. It was certainly one... More
