Great lunch

Should had sat on the side with the misters, because they probably didn't have flies like the side we were on. Anyway, have never been here before and had a very good lunch. Husband had the Steak & Cheese sandwich with fries, very good smoked brisket, very tender and tasty. I and our niece had the Frisco Sandwich, very good and very big, no way to finish, we should have just shared it, but did't know it was that big. Turkey, tomato, lettuce, bacon, Swiss cheese, avocado with mayo. Great sandwich. Would recommend this place.

Get a great steak and salad.

A great steak and salad was superb. Unfortunately, the restaurant had a fire and we cannot go eat there for a while. Repairs have to be made.

Try Taco Tuesday

Great value on Taco Tuesday. Two, beef, pork or chicken tacos for five dollars. It’s an all day special so not just at dinner time. We always eat in the bar but it’s sometimes crowded and service can be a little slow. Try it!

Prior reviews prove to be accurate, poor

Despite better judgement, my brother, brother-in-law & I did lunch here, my first & last time. The service was poor, the waitress’s acted surprised that there were a few patrons at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The food was very poor, while my brothers both had a burger, I had a bbq combo of brisket & smoked turkey. The brisket, if you can call it that, was mediocre casino buffet roast beef, at best, the turkey was from a turkey roll with no smoke or flavor. The only thing that was decent was the mash potatoes. My brother said his burger was bad & we barely made it home to Roseville before he had to run to the bathroom with a blowout.

Great food - horrible lemon drop cocktails and bartender with bad attitude

My friend and I both had lemon drop martinis and chicken cobb salads. The salads were amazing - lots of tender chicken and huge chunks of meaty bacon - yum! The martinis were the worst I've ever tasted, it didn't taste at all like the lemon drops I've had many other places. When we asked the bartender what was in the drinks because they tasted so different from any lemon drop we had before, she seemed offended and had a rude, unfriendly attitude. This is the second time we've been there that the bartender was rude. The saving grace each time has been the quality of the food.

I have that great steak.

They have the best tri tip steaks. I always ask for all vegetables with my dinner because I am diabetic and don't eat the carbs. No matter how many times I have had their steaks, it always is very tender and juicy. The service is always fantastic.

A must try you won’t be disappointed

This place is the best for the money and quality of food. We go here for breakfast lunch and dinner on a regular basis never have any problems waitresses very helpful attentive to your needs

I don't know why people complain online -- the food is good, the service is friendly, and the atmosphere is relaxed. The roast turkey sandwich with sweet potato fries feeds two. One of our favorite quick-stop places to do take-out, or, in non-pandemic times, eat in.It doesn't try to be fancy. We are happy not to be fancy.

It was terrible. We had a platter with ribs(where’s the meat and flavor), brisket (flavorless), chicken (it was so-so). The cornbread was not edible. The beans were blah. Sorry. We wanted to like it. We like to eat local.

THIS IS NOT BBQ. IT'S UTTER GARBAGE. Brisket was not "smoked 14 hours." It was mushy, flavorless pot roast-like crap with zero flavor. If it were smoked at all, it would have at least some flavor. Waitress tried valiantly to defend this utter catastrophe. LIAR! Okay, she was nice, but defended an obviously horrid establishment, and lied to my face about how the food was made. For whatever reason, this restaurant is not barbecuing/smoking meat AT ALL. They are cooking it in the kitchen very sloppily and incompetently, then reheating it. Maybe they are doing so poorly they can't afford wood for the smoker, and figure that drunk, gluttonous idiots will gladly eat this garbage. Note, also, that their mayo (included with my wife's dry, flavorless burger) was rancid and congealed. Avoid this flop house at all costs. They appear to be on their last leg, and when kitchen pickings get slim, are bound to give you something that will make you ill. Avoid. Seriously, if you like real bbq, or even mediocre attempts at food, AVOID. Gross.

Comfortable atmosphere, a lot of menu options and great service. The portion sizes were huge. I wasn’t a fan of the bbq sauce but overall it was really good.

Birthday Bummer

Today, Jan 26th is my birthday and I wanted to go some place that I had never been, my husband suggested this bbq place in Auburn, so off we go. We got there and it was very busy which I expect on a Sat night. We stood and waited at the front while the gal figured out money at the cash register for probably 5 minutes before seating us. Once seated we waited about 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. We ordered drinks (very good), appetizers, and dinner. The fried okra appetizer was wonderful, the best thing we had. The ribs were very good as was the brisket but the corn muffins and mashed potatoes were cold and the chicken was very dry although beautiful. There was a lot of food but even the coleslaw was just ok. If we go back I will order a salad and a half rack of ribs.

Excellent food, but suffering from no-show staff

As usual the entrees were very good to excellent, but we caught them on a bad night for service. Evidently, a couple of staff members did not show and our service suffered as a result. Actually our server appeared to be a supervisor who was not used to waiting tables and forgot several things during our visit. Doing the best the could under difficult circumstances. Previously, service has been at least very good.
