A really sad experience for our grad. We were told we could have a table for an hour and ten minutes only as a reserved party was due in at that time. We agreed as that seemed reasonable for our small party of three. The problem was the kitchen couldn't accommodate the plan. One of us got his meal and... More

This is a busy tavern in a shopping center right off the 101 freeway in Atascadero. We didn't have a reservation so we had a bit of a wait for a table, but everyone from the host to the waitress and the bartender were fast, friendly and professional to us. We all had burgers and salads - portions were huge,... More

Some towns just have restaurants where the people and the staff just make you feel good that you came in. The city of Atascadero and Guest house grill is one of these places. From the time you walk in til the time you leave the staff make you feel good about coming in. The menu is not over ambitious but... More

We got seated at 6:00pm and we did not get a drink order for 20 mins. We were seated outside because they would not take a reservation for 12 people. It was extremely hot outside and we had to ask for ice multiply times. When we order the special prime rib, we were told later that they only had 2... More

I came here after trying another place earlier. What a terrific difference. The staff was very friendly. Mike the bartender was polite, fast and a great bartender. I sat at the bar and was immediately served. I met a couple of locals and we had a pretty good conversation. The Burger was terrific. The beer was a very good local... More

Guest House Grill was recommended by the late afternoon desk clerk @ Holiday Inn in Atascadero. My hanger steak salad was excellent, good wine selection and friendly patrons. I would return.

They were extremely busy. Had a big party on the patio. The service was still good and the food was good to. My only complaint was the crème burlee. I love that for dessert and it was awful. I have always finished it, but not this time. Even my daughter said it was awful.

We were not expecting to find such a great restaurant during our stay in Atascadero. Located in a strip center this charming well appointed gem is tucked away off the street. Luckily our hotel told us where to get a great steak. David, the owner/manager was on top of everything at all times. The bartender, Trevor, made a special drink... More

We dropped in here on a late afternoon at the end of a day of driving and found this to be a nice place to relax and enjoy a leisurely meal. And the meal was good. I had the ribeye steak (which wasn't on the lunch menu but they accommodated my request) and it was quite satisfying. And the salad... More
