A very good dinner with fast friendly service. Try the steak bites with chimichurri for $22.00. Excellent service from William!
This is one of those places you just always go back. We have family there, we eat at a few other great nearby restaurants, and yet we ALWAYS come back. Food is good, TV's are solid, and they take good care of us. Our last...visit, cold outside yet we had to be there due to God blessing us with an amazing 80 lb. Bernedoodle. The area was warm from the ceiling heaters and we were very comfortable. Food is solid. Pastrami is my go-to, so good. Others had the Macaroni & Cheese, Chicken Pot Pie and the Tri-tip Dip. All very good! James our server was amazing! A true professional who knew how to serve our large group. Got the feeling he must of had some pervious experience in a more demanding venue because he saw things long before we needed them. He was a great part of our enjoying our time there.More
After the leftover lunch at our son and daughter in laws, all of us wanted to go for a walk. We strolled down the main street of Arroyo Grande, first to get a scoop of ice cream, then to let the 5 Grandkids play near...the creek and in the play ground. Before going home, the group was hungry. I was worried that the 5 kids would be tired and cranky. Too much for a restaurant, but they took the 5 kids and 7 adults to the back room. Leo was our server and was very patient and pleasant. The kids gobbled the pizza and French fries. The adults were happy with their food too. While the adults finished, the kids started to get restless but by then the 3 or 4 tables behind and beside us when loudly enjoying themselves and didn't seem to care. My Hubby had the spaghetti and meatballs and loved it. The meatballs were huge!. I had the blue cheese, pecan salad. Just enough after my ice cream.More
Located within walking distance of Agrarian Hotel where we stayed. The service was very good, although our order if hand cut fries came out too soon, we were served a fresh order with the rest of our apps. W weren’t very hungry, so ordered 2...appetizers. I had staked bites, which were delicious. Hubby and the Meatball appetizer which was 3 nice sized meatballs in red sauce , with garlic toast. He loved it. We had a couple local draft beer. Elliott, our server, was very good!More
Website deceiving. Ordered for pick up. rude customer arrive on 9/23. Burned chicken wings. The truffle fries looked like I could have paid for something at McDonald’s and threw some blobs of garlic on it! Very sad presentation! Environment was also very unpleasing and rude!...1 star only because I can’t select 0More
I do realize there are great reviews about this place, however, I'm going to be completely honest about our experience here. We will Never eat here again. We go to the coast 3-4 times a year and always stay in Pismo, SLO, Cayucos or Arroyo...Grande. We almost always stay 2-3 days and spend lots of hard earned money. This restaurant has a great little outside area amenable to people with pets. The waiter we had came back to check on us ONE TIME. The steak was terrible with a horrible tasting sauce. Even the fries were bad. My girlfriend had some chicken that was average. This place gets a lot of nice reviews, but there are other places in the immediate area so much better, with better food, better customer service and better experience.More
NO way was my pizza GLUTEN FREE as requested and advertised. I double checked with server before i ate it. I only ate less than 1/3 of meal. About 1.5 hrs later I suffered severe cramps and massive diarrhea. So disappointing, went there especially because...they advertise as"gluten free menu restaurant."More
Our Rooster Creek Tavern in Arroyo Grande experience started off w/a small hitch…(lost that 5th Point because of it). They do not take reservations…instead, there is a “call ahead” policy. You simply call ahead (30 - 45 minutes) before arriving and they will accommodate you...accordingly. Unfortunately…on this night (Thursday 12/28/21) our party of 4, collectively logged 94 calls to this establishment with no results. Since I know an employee there, who happened to be working on this day, I called him and explained our situation. Only through this “round-about” method were we able to get on the “call-ahead” list. At that point our party was only 5 minutes from arrival and once we checked in at the front entrance podium, we were told there were 4 parties ahead of us. As we surmised…the restaurant’s phone had been left off the hook! Upon arrival, I mentioned what had occurred to the employees at the podium…and wasn’t surprised (today, this is the “service” I expect from people working “just for the paycheck”) by the very “blasé” response. No apologies, no gratitude for (in my view) helping Rooster Creek out (if your phone is out of order…it stands to reason, your losing potential business), no “thank-you” from a Management Team Member. Sad! Once seated the service was prompt and professional. We ordered: Red Beet Salad (4/5 - really very good), Rooster Nachos w/all the fixings and added Ground Beef (5/5 - no faults here), Calamari Fries (3/5 - average) , Tavern Chicken Wings (3.5/5 - tasty), Tuna Poke (5/5 - Yummy), Garlic Truffle Fries (4/5 - very good), Steak Bites (3.5/5 - tender but lacking in seasoning), a Rooster Burger (4/5 - very good), 2 IPA’s, 4 Drinks. Generally speaking…the food was not EPIC, BUT definitely “tasty” enough to return for. The Restaurant was busy and the atmosphere was desirable, that being said…on this occasion and in this Reviewer’s opinion, the Rooster Creek Tavern in Arroyo Grande truly earned this solid “recommend” 4 Point review.More
wonderful food, great service and we even heard the rooster crowing! highly recommend! Comfortable area to eat outside.
Great restaurant for friends and family. Better than a 'pub food' place but in that mode. Fun bar - lots of TVs if you're looking for a sports bar atmosphere. Owned by the same folks as Mason Bar & Grill...solid pedigree.
Lunch and dinner menu in one. Up front, no reservations. Call ahead to get on the wait list. Huge wine list, more than adequate beer and ale list. Top price of $27 for a pitcher. Saturday night special was prime rib, $31. Large portions, very...well prepared. Choice of inside, terrace, or tent seating. Special mention of Missy, our server. Starters, drinks, entrees for four and tip ran $180. Will definitely return.More
We live nearby and used to go to Rooster twice a month as they had the best happy hour in all the five cities. About a year ago and they raised all the prices on happy hour items, but was still a good deal. While...they still offer discounts on drinks during the happy hour time now, there are no food specials. We did order a plate of Nachos and it was huge and delicious. Food was good and the service was wonderful. We will return, but maybe once every couple of months. They do have a great outdoor eating area.More
Ordered a nightly "special" of mashed potatoes, pork chop, and broccoli (I think it was broccoli). Pork chop was tiny, with the portions of spuds and veggie that amounted to a spoonful each. $25 for a meal that wouldn't fill a 5-year-old's stomach. Granted, the...food was delicious, but I left the restaurant almost as hungry as when I went in. Your money would be better spent at any number of restaurants on the Central Coast.More
Very much enjoyed the service and food. The atmosphere was relaxing. I dont like that almost everywhere is dog friendly bc not all are dog lovers. When they sit and beg for your meal or bark or even see the hair flying in the air...it’s an appetite killer. I can’t take my child anywhere bc she is allergic to them. Also the waitress was touching and petting it then taking orders and delivering food😱I’m shook.More
