Okay, full disclosure. It's a good (better than average) place, I give it extra credit because it's the only Mexican place around that offers a milanesa, which I almost always order. The chips and salsa are really good, the service is friendly, it's just a nice place. We eat here every month or so and are never disappointed.

The good: nice eating patio when weather is pleasant, fair prices, food and drinks were served in timely fashion. The less than gold: Entrees were okay. Rice and beans pretty standard as were the burritos, tacos, tostada. A little on the smallish side.

They don't seem to understand that kids don't want to sit still for half an hour waiting for something edible to be brought to the table. Yah, they were busy, but they need to find a way to make things happen in a more timely manner. Their table turns must be abhorrent. Once delivered, food wasn't anywhere near good enough... More

Decided to try a meal here again after a prior disappointing experience. The weather was pleasant and we ate on the shaded outside deck. Service had definitely improved and we were immediately served a basket of chips and salsa, followed shortly by the beer that we ordered. The meals that followed were also better prepared, filling and delicious. One was... More

Went with some friends and it was better than I expected. I live in Mexico part of the year and the food was good.

Arnold does not offer great food, at least as far as I could tell. We ate at this place and at the Brewery, and neither one came close to wowing us. This place has large portions of gringo Mex. You've got to eat somewhere. I'm sure there are worse choices in town, not sure if there are better ones.

Chile verde is my standard order be it tacos , tostadas or plated with rice and beans. This has just enough kick with the chilis and the pork is lean and tender. We arrived just as they were opening for lunch and by the time we were finished it was a hoping place with locals. It is a good place... More

We stopped in for a late dinner and even though it was close to closing time they still seated us with smiles. The service was good, and the food was very flavorful. If we lived in the area we would be regulars.

Sometimes you just need to have Mexican food! Rice, beans, tortillas! This place is authentic and great food! You can sit outside and have a cold beer while your food comes out! It's delicious! The service is mostly friendly and quick! Love it!

El Vaquero is a family owned and operated Mexican restaurant that has been in operation for about five years. While nothing on the menu is spectacular, all of the food is good and you get good value for the dollar. You can get the enchlidas and tamalies with either red or green sauce. My favorite is the green, which is... More
