Having seen the Frozen show once before , I was excited to be able to get great seats without waiting in line for over an hour . However , the lunch at Carthay Circle was very disappointing. I really don’t like eating that sort of...food for lunch and honestly , it wasn’t good . I’m very surprised at all of the positive reviews . From the soup , salad to the entree , my daughter and I were very unhappy . I will say ,that the bread and dessert were great but for $90 a person ,seems quite pricey . Next time we’ll just wait in line .More

I decided to spurge and get the Carthay Circle World of Color dining package for our anniversary! I absolutely LOVE the World of Color show and thought maybe the special reserved viewing would be something spectacular! It fell way short of my expectations sadly to...say. We spent 1 1/2 hours at the restaurant for lunch and it cost $156. The food was delicious, but very rich. I didn’t take into account how much I would not want to indulge in other yummy Disneyland snacks for the rest of the day. We didn’t get much of a history discussion at the restaurant as we would have liked. The service was impeccable and the entire staff was delightful. When I asked about getting a something special for our anniversary (I would have been happy to pay for it) they seemed confused. One lady completely stepped up and made us Happily Ever Ever After buttons which saved the day! I’m We arrived at our special viewing area for the World of Color show about an hour early. We saw regular fast pass guests settling into their spots and their free spots looked better than ours!! Not only were they closer but they could be dead center to view the show! We were too far to the right and the pictures were slightly distorted so needless to say I was so so so bummed. I would have been happy to save the money that we spent on lunch, saved the 1.5 hours too and gotten free fast passes for a much better viewing area.More

My husband ordered the beef filet, it was about 4 bites. My daughter ordered the specialty tilapia fish, it was about six bites. I ordered a pork chop and it was enough for two people, about two inches thick, however it was bloody on the...inside, and I don’t eat bloody pork. I sent it back to be fully cooked, and it was returned still bloody. I ate around the middle bloody part. I kept thinking, “trichinosis.” Food prep has changed since 2 yrs ago when I wrote the first review. Atmosphere still great tho.More

Carthay Circle I have awaited this reservation this entire year. I researched it online. My husband bought me Disney tickets for Christmas. I have never been. I was elated. We brought our "dress" clothes wedged into our bags ALL day at the park. We arrived,...PERFECT service. Then..... the loud group next to us decided it was time to discuss his bathroom habits. The pills he takes. The wives he has had. Meanwhile I left my seat 6 times. Most expensive meal I have shared with my handsome husband and I left the table SIX times. I did not order a cup of coffee to accompany my delish dessert because I couldnt wait to leave. My husband, 15 yr military vet asked about a military discount which you do not offer. Which is fine. The point is. That meal was expensive. We knew it would be. IT WAS THE BEST MEAL EVER! FROM START TO FINISH. Our server Jennifer was exceptional. Her assistant Josh as fabulous. Both employees exceed what service should be. Hands down the best dining experience which is obviously worth the dollar. But. I wish we would have moved seats. I wish we would have sat somewhere away from this obnoxious guest. I wish it didnt bother me. And honestly it doesnt. But I wanted to share my experience. Thank you Jennifer and Josh and all of the staff at Carthay Circle we truly had a wonderful experience. Thank you for everything!! Nichol and Nicholas JohnstonMore

I’m a foodie and I’m always happy to pay for good quality food and service. This was not the case, my husband and I left the restaurant dissatisfied with our meals. The bread was cold and nothing special about it. It was just like cheap...supermarket bread. We each tried one piece and didn’t eat the rest. 30 minutes after we ordered, the waiter came and asked if we wanted to order and appetizer because many meals were been prepared and it would be a while. The restaurant was not busy, I think they were just understaff. We made reservations because we didn’t want to waste time waiting and we ended up waisitng a lot of time here with the slow service. My husband ordered the steak which he said tasted good, but the portion was small. I ordered the salmon and it was saggy and salty. We only ordered a main course each, no appetizers, drinks, or desserts and our bill was about $90.00, which I don’t mind paying when I get quality and good service, but this was not the case. We still tipped 20% which I’m tired of doing when the service is bad, but I figured is not the waiters fault, but Disney’s management for been understaff. I guess with the failure of Galaxy edge they’re cutting staff and it shows in the poor service.More

This was a wonderful lunch!! We were treated exceptionally well and were seated in the main dining room which is the coolest. Delicious cocktails and entrees. I had a mojito and the autumn shrimp dish which was amazing, and they gave me the chocolate mousse...dessert on the house for my birthday. It was so good! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a break from the hubbub. Look around at the memorabilia before leaving, Expensive but worth it! We will be back.More

Me and my wife decided to have a little time to ourselves while on our family Disney vacation. We love fine dining so the carthay circle restaurant was a must for us. From the first moment we laid eyes on the restaurant the moment we...walked into the park it looked very grand. When we arrived for our meal we checked in and was given a very warm welcome from all the staff. We were taken upstairs by one of the waitresses who gave us a lot of insight into the history of the real carthay as well as this restaurant. The walls were covered with pictures of Walt and the history of the place. As we approached the main dining area we were blown away by how beautiful the place was. We were seated and greeted by our server Dom who through the whole service couldn’t do enough for us. He was very warm and friendly throughout our time there. We just decided to have main courses as we’d had a big breakfast but all s I can say is they were to die for. I ordered the prawn dish and my wife ordered the salmon dish. Both were presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. We had some mock tails also, I really recommend the key lime drink to anyone it was so delicious. Overall the experience here was great from the service to the food there were no complaints. We will definitely be visiting again on our next trip to Disney California.More

I’d read mixed reviews but still reserved the dinner package because I wanted the reserved seating for Magic of Color. Don’t do it! Loved our seats for Magic of Color, but the restaurant was awful! The ambiance is lovely, but it took 1.5 hours with...5:10 reservations, and that was with asking for our desserts to be boxed up to go instead of served—and that took 15 min. We were there 10 min early, too, and the place was empty when we were seated. The servers were so tone deaf. We’ve dined at basic to fancier restaurants with our 1 and 4 year old, and the servers generally pick up when the kids need things to kick into gear, and are helpful and rewarded accordingly with good tips. This is Disneyland so you’d think they’d get it. Sadly, that was absolutely not the case. The worst service I’ve ever had. No check backs (I.e. how’s the food? Need anything?) Disappeared for long periods. No hustle. Took 15 min to bring bread at the front end with hangry children. Didn’t know the special—literally the name of the fish, swordfish. Didn’t get apps until 45 min in. My husband spoke to the manager and at least we got an extra fast pass to my son’s favorite ride out of the deal, but they didn’t even care to know our servers’ names that were clearly dropping the ball. That tells me this is commonplace. I love Disneyland and am thoroughly impressed by the level of service throughout the rest of our 4 days here, but the restaurants clearly do not live up to the Disney standard. I have no idea why not. Do better, Disney. Clearly you’re capable of it. do it! Loved our seats for Magic of Color, but the restaurant was awful! Everything about our experience here was amazing !! The food was incredible, our waiter was awesome. He knew the history, the dishes. He was happy to help us find a very picky kid friendly meal. Excellent plate and drink options. Our family will absolutely be...returning and even if you only go once it's worth the experience.More

No dress code, but I think men should wear a shirt with a collar at the very least. It's a really nice restaurant, not a cafeteria.
