Stayed in the cottage. Comfortable bed. Clean. Walls are a bit thin as you can easily hear the tv going in the next room. Included breakfast was just good.

The restaurant and staff handled our group of 18 with care and efficiently. We were seated in a side area with plenty of space between us and other diners. Well done. Good draft beer from Amador Brewing Company. I ate the grilled polenta with onions and mushrooms in an average red sauce, spinach was a welcome side. The bread was... More

The dining room, located in the hotel, has the old exposed brick walls and you can feel the gold rush era. The old bar is also fun to see. My husband really enjoyed his duck but my pasta was overcooked and my salad was drowning in dressing, so I can't rate the food too highly. Service was very good. There... More

Went in with a small group of couples and each couple got separate checks the house added 20% tip. Well OK but the tip was calculated after 8% tax was added so I guess I tipped Jerry Brown 20% too. These people must think their customers can't do math.

Three of us had dinner on the patio in front of the hotel last Saturday. The village had a wine tasting event and there was an open air auction across the street for a charity event. On another corner there was life music provided with pleasant old songs (incl. Beatles). The atmosphere was great. Our waitress recommended the course of... More

While exploring the town we wanted a cool drink and lite snack....this place was perfect. It has kept the flavor of the Gold Rush era, service was good and friendly, we were not rushed and we had a Mediterranean plate for a lite snack. It was well prepared and presented. There is also a very nice outdoor seating area--when its... More

I toured all these wonderful old minding towns in the 70's when living in SF. This trip brought me back in time, visiting dear friends and meeting new ones. Had dinner at this historic hotel, highly recommend it. Service was excellent, food the same. I had rack of lamb, my friends had the duck and shrimp. Nice choice of wines... More

We had a great meal from a fairly extensive menu, with excellent service. We visited on a hot August lunchtime and the garden was a delight to sit under sun shades. We were offered two draft craft beers and a number of bottled options so happy or hoppy days! The ceaser salad was excellent as were the parties other choices,... More

Nice historic building with good dining room. Food was reasonable and delicious. The Bistro Steak was excellent and the desserts were lovely.

Doing the great West Coast/California drive & a trip of a lifetime. Our first stop out from Sacramento was this astoundingly quaint small town called "Amador City". We stopped here for lunch...but every single shop, eaterie etc was closed. This is just a "weekend town". We even went into the Inperial Hotel, complete with spittoon at the bar to ask... More
