We stayed here for 1 night. It is just beautiful and the small town Amador is so cute and takes you back in time. Rooms are large and with private bath rooms. So if you want to try to live in an old house from the gold rush but with today's comfort than this is an excellent choice. The staff... More

Service was excellent, waitress was professional and fun.The bar tender was great!! Food was wonderful, we had rack of lamb, steaks and duck. We all loved it. We ate outside on the patio, very nice!! Great value for the money and great memories of a wonderful evening of fun, food and fellowship.

We purchased a stay for two, in the hotel and a dinner credit for the restaurant. The rooms in the hotel annex, or suite, are out of the actual hotel. They are very dated and desperately need to be remodeled. The dinner, was in the hotel itself. The building is full of historical charm. The meal was very good.

The wait staff is amazingly attentive, given how busy they are. Very comfortable and ok food. There is a prix fixe 3 course meal mid-week that is incredibly reasonable. None of us tried it the night we were there, however. The hangar steak we had would have been better with some (more) of the described sauce. The appetizer featuring local... More

We made reservations at Imperial for our 20th anniversary celebration. The wait staff is great and the food was wonderful. We enjoyed everything and would recommend this place for a fine dining experience. White table cloths, great wine list, scrumptious food and a great desert. We enjoyed our time and made a great memory.

We visit the gold country several times a year and have always enjoyed dinner at the Imperial. This time we decided to try brunch. I ordered Eggs Benedict and found myself with a very small, dried up muffin, an o.k. egg but the bright yellow sauce was skimpy and not all that good. My companions were not that impressed with... What an interesting place. We booked time for the post-weekend crowd and were very pleased. We needed peace and quiet and that's what we got. The room very clean and well furnished and had a balcony overlooking the 'down town' and provided us a place to hang out. With No TV, phone or other distractions, it provided a good respite....
