We orederd the ginger chicken meatballs for an appetizer and could have easily made a meal out of them. Great plate presentation, served hot! Salads were Caesar and the mixed baby field greens. Both salads were chilled and very tasty. We had the macadamia crusted mahi mahi for our entrée. Very good dish

What is great about Opah is not only the great food, great staff and great atmosphere....it's also a hidden gem in the city of Aliso Viejo!! You don't have to travel to the beach just to find this type of restaurant...it's in our own backyard. Their food is always amazing and their servers, manager and staff are always attentive. Thanks... More

You can't go wrong with any of their starters. Bacon wrapped dates, short rib pot pie, ginger chicken meatballs, and sweet potato tower are all excellent!

This restaurant is expensive and the food is not great and it's located in a parking lot. So zero on the atmosphere. Sorry but if you can't tell I just did not like it.

Came back after a long absence. The entrees are still done well and the selection is diverse. A bit on the pricey side so not recommended for family dining.

The food is always tasty if a little expensive. It has a classy and upscale ambiance, but can be somewhat noisy.

I have been a customer for 15 years. After today I won't be going back. Although the food is good and the prices are fair, the employees have attitude lately. Manager told me they are very busy as the reason I did not get served. Really? a manager thinks it is ok to have bad service at all? It seems... More

This excellent neighborhood bar restaurant is a wonderful meeting place for drinks and appetizers or a complete dinner. The bar is always packed with happy chattering regulars, there's a great craft beer selection, the cocktails are masterfully imagined and prepared and the food selection, including the appetizers like wonton nachos, bacon wrapped dates and the sweet potato tower are superior!... At Opah Restaurant & Bar, we serve the finest fresh fish in Orange County. Carefully hand selected each day to deliver the best quality available. Come in and enjoy the menu created by Marc A. Cohen, One of the Best Chef's in Orange County. The menu is exquisite, featuring edible works of art, that look so good the could be on a magazine cover. Dont forget to try one of our signature Award Winning Martinis, or have some wine outside near the fireplace on the patio. We offer live music for our patrons on certain nights as well to add to the dining experience. If you wondering how we came up with the name Opah. It comes from the Hawaiian word for Moonfish, which was once viewed as Good Luck by fisherman, & often given away as a gesture of Good Will.
