The plates are small and expensive and not that good. Place is very loud and hard to hear what the person is saying.. service is slow

One of the best (tapas) dinners I have had in a while!! Monday Night margaritas followed by local IPAs... 3 of us shared a Tamal (singular vegetarian corn meal bake), Ceviches, Quinoa and spinach salad, Calamari plus chips and salsa.... Wow, what a treat.

The quality of ingredients and the care in preparation shine through in all of their dishes. Excellent individually matched hot salsas accompany each dish. Duck tacos are heavenly; don't forget to order a side of black beans. Very relaxed staff and atmosphere.

Fonda consistently puts out great tasting food and quality cocktails. Lamb chops, skirt steak, chips and guac, and our favorite the Cuban mini burgers. Small plates great for sharing.

I love spanish food and Fonda is a good purveyor of Spanish food. Small plates so you always get a selection. Good wine and bar so you leave well fed and imbibed. Even has a happy hour that is later in the evening.

This is an active neighborhood spot for cocktails and latin-inspired tapas. Noisy, but seating is intimate for conversation is possible. Very yummy for a quick bite.

I live less than 2 miles from Fonda, so I go there often, once every 3 months on average. And while the menu varies from time to time (maybe 20%), I find myself drawn to my old favorites--the beet salad, the tuna tartare, the halibut (it's the salad that comes with it that is so special), the fried plantains, the... Things have improved since the initial change in ownership, but Fonda is no longer my go-to fir cocktails and food with friends. The menu is mostly unchanged and that's both good and bad: reliability is nice but the lack of creativity shows. Overall, a good place to meet friends but don't expect a transformative dining experience.

Came here with few friends and enjoyed the live energy and yummy food there very much. Full house of young people on Friday night, so we waited a little bit. but it's worth trying.

They have a great happy hour, good margaritas and definitely try the duck tacos! Personally I would steer away from the chips and salsa and guacamole. The guacamole is a bit lackluster and chips too thick. But overall very good experience!
