What a beautiful venue this was for lunch with friends on our visit to SFO. It sits right on the water with great views of yachts, etc. that I wished were mine. Wait staff was friendly. The food was very good, nicely prepared and presented. Prices were more than average, however; lunch was $82 for four and that was with... More

We had sailed past this place one afternoon while trying out a sailboat in Alameda. We had heard it was good, so decided to give it a try. It's right next to the Commodore Cruises & Events pier, so parking can be a challenge. It's a little bit hard to find, but don't give up, because the food is good,... More

Wanted to have seafood by the bay after spending time at the USS Hornet in Alameda. Used our GPS to ask for closest and best Italian restaurant and Pasta Pelican was the closest. We took a chance because we didn't know the area and was hungry. Got lucky and arrived as they just opened. Had the best Bloody Mary cocktail... More

We went to watch sailboats and other boating activities. The food is a bit above average and rather expensive. Service is good. The main thing here is the view of the estuary. Window table a must. I suggest lunch for boat watching or if dinner, Saturday or Friday when the boat activity will be higher.

Did the chef change a couple of years ago? My boyfriend and I had a coupon for this place a few months ago and hesitated - as the previous meal had been just shy of awful. But we were delighted by our wonderful dining experience. A few night ago we decided to give Pasta Pelican another shot - and were... More

Wonderful restaurant. The view is of the estuary so on a nice day you can watch the boats going by. I was impressed that they immediately brought bread, garlic and cheese to dip the bread in....so yummy! The Italian vinegarette was sublime and never had anything like it. The entree portions were the right size and sssoooo tasty! My fiance... More

My mom and I drag my husband here once every few months since we enjoy the view of the estuary with the lights on Jack London Square and we love the garlic, parmesan, oil & vinegar they serve to accompany the bread. As others have mentioned, the food is not the best Italian food out there but I've come enough... More

You can't beat the location! The restaurant overlooks the water so it's a fabulous view from Alameda with Oakland beyond. The wait staff is super helpful, friendly, and efficient. I had the seafood ravioli: DELICIOUS! My friend had fillet mignon which came with brussel sprouts, beets, and mashed potatoes. Also really good. The bread is lovely, served with butter or... More

The party was held upstairs, buffet style , allowing the guests to have a private room to themselves .
