This is your average diner. You can usually get quick service and decent food. No frills, nothing exceptional, but not bad either. It can get very busy for breakfast, so expect a wait, especially in weekends.

It is well located and a parking lot is available. It can get a little noisy, but that's what a fun diner is all about. The portions are huge, as is the menu. They are well known for their breakfast items. Surprisingly, their lunch and dinners as just as good. They have lots of daily specials to choose from. I... More

I don't go to Jim's for gourmet food, and you shouldn't either. But if you want home-cooked style diner food, served with efficiency and with decent prices, this is a great place to come. You'll always run into people you know, and there's always plenty of people there with the kids and/or grandparents. My food always comes exactly as I... More

I went to Jim's for a quick dinner with a friend. The service was perfect. She checked on us and made sure our drinks were refreshed. the food was fresh and tasty. It is not the most up to date decor.

Diner food. Love it when it's good. Ordered a San Francisco burger and fries. My luncheon partner ordered breakfast. They serve breakfast all day long. Both orders came out quickly. Mine was a big sandwich with cheese and mushrooms. Breakfast was two poached eggs, an English muffin and fruit. Dieters special? Both were demolished in nothing flat and we went... More

We have eaten here twice. Both times, because we were headed to the Oakland Airport and decided to stop here for breakfast. They serve a solid American style breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly. Last time it was freezing in there. I mentioned it to our server, but nothing changed.

Very busy place. We ate a late breakfast here mid-week. The place was packed, but they got us seated fairly quickly. Our server was nice and friendly and answered all of our questions. Our food came out at in reasonable time. The quality of the food was a bit lacking; looked good, but not all that tasty. We had both... More

Reminded me of an old time diner. Warm, friendly atmosphere. All the staff were awesome. FOOD WAS GREAT. Had the liver and onions. Liver was tender. Mashed potatoes were delicious. If you want a homey, restaurant with great food this is the place for you
