It's really sad that this place is so good because we can never get a table without a wait! The ingredients are fresh, the food is fantastic and the staff are always friendly, courteous and quick!

If I have friends visiting from out of town I definitely recommend Burma. Unlike anything you've had before, yet still within most people's comfort zones. Everything is very flavorful, I've tried a good portion of the menu and offer no complaints. Order a bunch of stuff & eat family style to figure out what you love! Favorites include: samusas, platha,... More

Meal is good, especially the salad! Atmosphere, casual, not a "white tablecloth" kind of place. Can be crowded but you can always order takeaway if you like to dine at home.

We are visiting Alameda, we were in the mood for Burmese food. It is not common where we live, so we jumped at the opportunity when we found Burma Superstar while on a stroll downtown. Wow! Great lunch! We got there around noon, restaurant quickly filled up, lots of locals and regulars. We started with vegetable samusas with a tangy... More

Love love love Burma Superstar -- the location in Alameda has the best ambience, in my opinion. The menu offers many options. I love the lotus chips, the Platha (homemade flatbread with curried chicken sauce), the specialty salads, the samosa soup, the black coconut rice dessert -- to mention just a few. Yumm!

Food is very good, we love the platha and dip (I think thats how you spell it) and the spicy crispy chicken. Also, I think one of their salads was featured on food network.

This is a small restaurant, so you may have to wait, but the food is great. The Burmese bread and curry is the best!

I love this place. I always come with friends and we share the delicious tea salad and lamb pastry (I can't recall the name) , garlic noodles, and chicken dish. Their homemade juice drinks are refreshing and tasty too. Come early as there is always a line.
