We've been hoping to try this place for some time and finnally did this past weekend. We actually ate in a small seperate ding room called the "mail room". Lots of character. Very rustic. It was perfect for our party of 9. We did look in the main dining area just for a peak and it is all funky old... More

The Old Place is located in Agoura but only approximately 35 miles from downtown Los Angeles. It is just south of the 101 freeway and to the south are the famous Santa Monica Mountains. Further south and through the mountain the Pacific Ocean is approximately 9 miles away. The Old Place is tucked into rustic scenery and has a rich... More

Food was great. Chicken pot pie our favorite. Don't pass on dessert everything worth the calories. Good idea to make reservations. But, you can walk in and look for a seat at the large bar, first come first serve. Friendly staff, loud atmosphere. Winery next store has a great selection. bought a bottle. Corkage fee $10.00, not bad.

Stumbled across this on apple maps while looking how to get over to the beech. Absolutely brilliant, great food (as always the locals told me) great staff and an atmosphere that won't be matched, truly one of a kind

There is nothing close to the Old Place when it comes to great dining and atmosphere. It truly is a hidden gem. The food is delicious (and plentiful), the staff are friendly and the location is unique. I haven't been there for breakfast, but everyone I talk to say I am missing one of the best meals they offer. However,... More

After a few attempts to make reservations, we finally made it for dinner on a Saturday night. This is a fun spot if you're looking for something out of the norm. We made reservations for the 6:30 p.m. dinner and had plenty of time to enjoy our meal without feeling as though we were being rushed. We bought a bottle... More

This is a place where everyone is treated like a local. The oak fire, the peacocks in the yard, the great selection of wines next door at Cornell, all make this like a mini holiday rather than simply dining out. Love it, there are curiosities galore.

This was undoubtedly one of the most charming bar-restaurant I have been to in California. It is the genuine article. You can find it up in the canyons after a long drive on Mulholland Hwy. It is rustic, very rustic but wonderful. The employees are extremely friendly and helpful with menu suggestions or telling stories about the historic restaurant, the... More

Celebrating our 11th Anniversary, we booked a table at Old Place as we kept being told how great it was. Walking through the doors was like walking back in time - such a quirky setting - wooden booths and a long bar where people were eating, drinking and having fun. We had a small table for two at the back... More
