Went out as a family after reading the great reviews. Two things: 1) The food was really good. Came out hot and fresh. Great mix of flavors. 2) The service was less than average. We were not greeted when we entered the restaurant. There were moments when we did not see our waitress for several minutes. My wife's salad did... More

Best Louisiana type food that I have had in Arizona. I had the Dunkin Catfish and beingets for dessert. My friend had the gumbo and shrimp creole. We were full and happy when we left.

Genuine friendly staff working here. You can taste test whatever you like. I had the gumbo less the rice and had the blackened shrimp on a bed of greens with blue cheese dressing. Truly was delicious. Even had a bite of the catfish and it was also delish. Definitely will be going back and wish I had gone sooner.

My coworkers love coming here for lunch. Food is always excellent! This small business is no longer a hidden gem in Avondale, folks from everywhere are coming out to taste the best Louisiana home cooking in the Valley.

The restaurant is housed in a non descript strip mall and detectable only by a smallish sign. The foyer indoor has a takeout order desk, but the sit down restaurant to the right is decorated to resemble Cajun country atmosphere and the food, as it turned out, very comparable to that region. We ordered a trio of appetizers (all fried-this... More

My husband and I and lots of friends love this restaurant. The catfish, gumbo and etoufee are all favorites. The pricing is reasonable. The decor is easy going. Not a fancy restaurant but the food is very good

We have this catered a lot at work as this is so good. The po-boys are wonderful. I also have fish allergies and they assured me the do not mix oils or cooking surfaces. I have to admit I was skeptical at first because I have been told that before, then swell up like a Ballon. I went ahead and... More

Even if you may be unsure about Cajun cooking, you are sure to find something delicious to enjoy! From Cajun favorites like Jambalaya to shrimp Po boys, the food is outstanding and the service is quick and super-friendly. This is a must try if you are in the area. Some think the prices are a little on the higher side... More

In all fairness we went with a large group so our wait times were a little long. The food however is gen-u-ine Louisiana and was delicious. Husband ordered gator. Yum. Appetizers were great. Love fried green tomatoes! Fried dill pickles. Poor Boy subs were good but the shrimp devine!!
